It is pretty simple.. check for the rubber cover, pull it out. Then unhook the clip and pull out the bulb. There is enough space for you to do all this behind the headlight assembly..

As far as the fuel filter is concerned. Try to pull it out and clean it in case you dont find it. I think it is available on the thesparescompany(.)com

I have also bought a few parts from that site for my Karizma ZMR. Sometimes they don't ship the complete items in a single shipment, they ship parts one by one as they have to procure it from various dealers across the country but the parts do arrive ultimately, that too in a safe and secure packaging. The customer care guys are respectful and co-operative.

              @Divya Sharan
Thanks to your inputs, I decided to buy the Zapper F Kurve 90/90 front tyre. When I took the delivery (Amazon) it felt a little heavier compared to other front tyres, is it really heavy comparatively? And when you told me that turning/leaning with this tyre will take some time to get used to, which caused you to say that, it's profile, dimensions or weight? Just curious that's all.

I will get it installed today, can't really comment on the grip etc.

                Hi Guys,
It was long time since my post here because I have sold my ZMR in 2016 and bought Duke 390. It was a super blast to ride and I have ridden many trips to hill stations and long distance. Though it has excellent performance figures it is not suitable for long distance cruising and also my mind was missing the ZMR always. For the past 1 year, I was looking for a good or excellent condition ZMR thru many online sites and roadside used two wheeler vendors. I was completely exhausted searching for it.

Last Sunday, when I was OLXing, saw a 2012 white color(my favorite) used by an adult in his 35s which was in pristine condition with very low mileage on odo. The vehicle was in Dharmapuri which was more than 200km from my hometown. As I talked to the owner, he said he was waiting for someone who has promised to come to his house to look the bike and finalise the deal. He also confirmed that he will give the bike for the person who gives advance first. Last month I just missed a great example by a whisker due to high asking price, so this time I doesn't want to lose it. I instantly called one of my friend there in Dharmapuri and asked him to visit and see the bike with some cash. As informed, my friend visited him in next 1 hour and saw, test drove, finalised and sealed the deal.

After an hour, I was travelling towards Dharmapuri to take delivery of the vehicle, the owner called me and said the person from Bangalore was with him and he was offering Rs. 5000 more for the bike and if I was ready to let it go then he will was ready to give that amount to me. I refrained from it and just went there and took the bike.

As I was riding Duke 390 for mare than a year, I sat on ZMR with a WOW. The bike is very very spacious than 390. All the panels of the bike was taut. No scratches except for some in the top right side of the fairing since his child will be sitting there on the way to school.

I started the engine and it was neat and nice rumble which told me it was well maintained. The typical exhaust note was crisp and clean. The odo read 12746km in 6 years. Both the tyres were stock and the front tyre has generated mild cracks inside the tyre treads. It will be changed in near future for safety purpose.

The owner of the bike just got all the details for transfer of ownership of the vehicle and promised to send the original RC thru courier once the name change process was done.

As I rode the ZMR to my hometown, it was difficult to reach the handle bar as it was too far from reach compared to 390, it took more than 100km to regain my actual comfortable riding position.

I am very satisfied by the purchase and had ridden around 500 km in last 3 days still wanting more. It was beautiful bike for our roads. I would keep my 390 for city sprints and ZMR for all other drives. Thanks for reading. RIDE SAFE

                  1. It IS slightly heavier in weight when compared to stock.
                  2. Because of the 90/90 profile, your handlebar would get taught-er. Its only a matter of a few days or a week till you get used to it.

I feel it lends better feedback to the heavy front of ZMR and the tire doesn't lock as easily as earlier.

                      Hello Riders,
This is paddy here...a long lost member of this clan. Hope all is well and all the ZMRs are having fun.
Anyways I've had a blast with my 2010 zmr since the past 65000kms and it's been a humble companion with crazy rides. It's been sharing my stable with my Ninja 650 since the past 3years now so rate of mileage clocking has gone down.

Recently I've had issues with the bike giving jerks when it heats up and when I rev beyond 4k in high gears. In neutral or clutch pressed situation it revs smoothly without any hickup...but while it's moving in gear I have this issue...!
I tried changing spark plug, ignition coil, fuel filter relay...etc etc...but all in vain.

So now I think it's the Fuel Pump that's gone kaput...and isn't getting the desired pressure!!

Anyone else whose felt such an issue or can help me analyse mine???

                      Thanks in advance!

                      Paddy !

                        Hello Paddy, long time man!

Before you tamper with fuel pump, open your injectors and get them cleaned. Pump issue mostly starts giving people indications in terms of increased/reduced FE. If your FE is roughly stable, it may not be a pump issue.
                        How're your clutch plates?
Lastly, check if your fuel tank lid breather hole is not clogged with dirt.

I had got the thought of it. But is it reliable?
I had got suggestions from quite some people regarding it. But am worried on reliability
Also the fuel pump costs a 13k Imho.
