Nice pic. Although I don't like 2 things here. Bike is parked on the driving lane and that too when there is a solid yellow line which means the road is curvy. Sorry, I had to point them out.

I remember one point you mentioned some time back, that the rpm to speed ratio for ZMR is 1.6
By that logic for at 5th gear and maximum 7000 rpm, we will only get 7 * 1.6 = 112 kmph. So can we get the claimed 125 kmph?

True. I was learning riding back then. This was one of my first longish rides. The bike sure isn't parked properly.

Because red line is at 8.2k RPM. Now, do the math!

But sir, the spec sheet says
        Max. Power13.15 kW (17.6 bhp) @ 7000rpm

So I just assumed the bike wouldn't go beyond 7000 on the 5th gear. I thought it was already established in the thread that Karizma cannot redline on 5th gear.

First, pls don't call me sir. I'm only 24.
Second, Karizma doesn't redline in 5th, since that would mean 130+, but it does 127 at max. Power tapers off past 7k, but speeds do increase gradually.

Ok bro. The respect had to do with your knowledge, not your age. But anyway,

Fine, so you're saying it goes up to 8.2 rpm slowly... Thereby achieving 125+. Ok fair enough. Did you achieve that high speed on SH49? (ECR)

Ah, thanks for the kind words bro. We're all a part of a continual learning curve. I did 116 kmph on ECR during that trip. Till date I've done max of 125 kmph maybe 4 times. I'm a slow rider who loves being in the 75-95 kmph range. Top speed is never a criterion for me.
Also, one must keep the bike within 80% of its limits.

I topped 134kmph at 8.2k with the pulsars rear sprocket.. that was on the chandigarh delhi road.. only once i tried for top speed.. with stock sprocket i topped out at 129kmph.. after that never tried.. i love cruising at 100 to 110 when riding alone.. and when with my pals we love cruising at 75 to 95 just like you :-)

Ok, so I noticed some water in the fuel tank rims when I fueled my bike this morning. Must have been from the bike wash yesterday. This is the second time its happening. Last time when it came out of service. Mixing water with petrol could be dangerous for an FI bike, right? So far I've never faced any issues, but wondering....If there is water on the rims, probably a lot more would have got inside and mixed with the petrol. And I wasn't like aiming the hose at the tank, in fact I didn't even use a hose this time. Also what if it rains, that's bound to be just as bad. Is there something wrong with my fuel cap for not completely sealing the top? Or is it just no big deal at all?

Its normal. There is a drain pipe just by the side. Just ensure that its not blocked. Water that trickles from within the tank cap would flow down the pipe and won't mix with petrol.

Happy Sunday guys! I did a 225 km round trip just to get away from the city life for some time. Destination was Ayyanakere, near Belur Cross. Google search shows a beautiful lake and a wooden bridge. Damn, the lake is dry now!

Anyways, I had a blast carrying out a speed run on the highway.

                          Few pics.
