I once met a service engineer doing inspection in Chennai SVC and I'd suggested him to make 10w40 as standard oil. He said enthusiastically that my recommendation would be looked into, but nothing happened.

I'm also trying to mine some other ids that are responsible and care enough to respond. I'll update as soon as I source them. I did tell them to go through our forum so that they know what the actual issues are and how they can get some information or ride reports for free, for which they pay in millions( these companies actually spend more than this on consulting, so much that they can give us each HMC's upcoming bike for free!!

On a lighter note, I wish they replace mine with the upcoming quarter-litre.

I'd quite a lovely time reading it yesterday in office. A few pointers had me in splits.

Hello worrisomebear ,thanks for your suggestion buddy ..i never knew that it would be that way ..if i have known that i would never have repaired the tyre anyways i have changed the tyre to PSD .....any more suggestions to make the Karizma ZMR more awesome
Hi,

My 2 cents, I am using stock front and rear PSD for more than 20K kms now (3 PSD uptil now) and have never felt any issue with the setup. IMO, its more in brain and less in bike.Forget this and ride for some period with a clean mind and you might notice that the issue is not there. Yes, it will take some time to get use to the new rear tyre profile but it doesnt disbalances the bike.

Cheers

3 sets of PSDs in 20+k kms? My PSD has been with me for 17k already and its the only set I ever had!

Good morning fellas! Had a lovely 25 km ride on the SUV of all bikes - Hero Impulse. Had never ridden it before, hence I was careful over speed bumps, but later I felt that the bike was begging to be let loose. Thereafter , all speed breakers were done with in 4th gear.

Lovely experience. If only it had a ZMA engine!

Was experiencing burnt oil smell before. Thought it was due to the leaking head and got all the necessary stuffs changed. Leaking has stopped but then the smell is present. What other reasons can it be? Cannot be the oil cause I topped it up with the remaining oil I had left in the 1 litre bottles. Had initially purchased two bottles. So removed bit of old oil and put the new oil.
What other reasons can lead to such smell? Radiator? If so, what might be wrong?

if this is gonna be the case then go to the nearby welding shop and remove the catalytic converter this wouldn harm ur bike in any way, only setback is that it wouldn pass the emission test

Many have done this on their R1s and Busa's. Our own mod rossiter is one of 'em.
Do this on ur bike and get a ticket to traffic violation for increased sound every single time. Moreover, an improper weld would result in a destroyed end can!

Check for oil leakage once again near the silencer or the head..

Yup checked it. No leakage. But smell is severe. Clutch plates were replaced for the very same reason back in feb.

Guys, I might just be bringing up an interesting topic.. I have read so many folks confidently stating that our ZMR/ZMA engines are one of the most relaxed engines on road.. But I was wondering what prompts us to make that statement ?? Just a popular belief or it is backed by any substantial evidence ??

I just came across some very interesting performance findings which actually shocked me to an extent.. would ofcourse share my own findings.. but would like to hear from some of you guys first so that I can compare & be sure of the what I have found..

Guys, open up n lets discuss on this...it might just help many of us to learn something more abt our bike & to also understand further limitations so that we can ride safer....

One clue; if our ZMR engine is really so relaxed, can it then take up further performance mods ??? If not, then why !!
I would let you know my understanding once I come back from gym..

For a 223 cc it makes only 17 Bhp with a long stroke....the compression ratio is 9:1 and even when some newbies accelerate like no to-morrow, a seizure is unheard of....the bike is a good package overall....now I look forward to your findings...
