have you replaced the big one with the normal screw, did you get it in the svc or any other hardware stores?
Take the big allen screw to a spare part store and ask them for the same size normal screw.. they will give you

MPS values of prominent Indian bikes (Top bike is the most reliable one. Bottom one is the worst) Read at normal conditions

        Bike MPS
        Duke / 200NS 16.33 m/s
        Pulsar 180 16.92 m/s
        RTR 180 17.34 m/s
        Ninja 250R 17.85 m/s
        RE 350/500 18 m/s
        CBR 150R 18.09 m/s
        Karizma R/ZMR 18.76 m/s
        CBR 250R 19.25 m/s
        R15 / V2 19.57 m/s
        Pulsar 220 20.8 m/s

Here, bang for the buck is always the Duke. But when it comes to touring, the best tourer is always the Ninja 250R, Followed by the RE and then our ZMR

(I never considered the CBR 150R as a tourer. Coz I feel cramped on it )

So compared with the prominent contenders like P220 and R15, ZMR is indeed a good package. Also, in the R15, one needs to redline it often at lower gears to maintain the torque curve. ZMR owners because of its linear mid torque range need not do that. That means, we seldom rev karizma engines compared with others and so more engine life.
Its not quite a good idea to compare the above MPS values directly.. coz these are the respective values @ redline limit, which varies from bike to bike..
Yes, if i forget the price tag for a moment, ZMR is definitely a good package overall for routine riding.. atleast am happy with it for the reasons i had bought it..

        My Bikes:
Yamaha RD (The one which taught me what riding is; Can never forget this one)
Bajaj Caliber (The one closest to my heart; I still have it after 15 yrs !)
Yamaha R15 V2.0 (The best I had; Ah it let me become the college hunk I once used to be :) )
Hero Honda Karizma ZMR (The bike for the family man in me; The practical one; The current one)

I understand the love for that machine by many people but that bike just doesn't attract me.. the bike doesn't run above 100kmph at long stretches.. and the amount of heat it produces makes it difficult to ride it during summer tours.. the Pro Biker Gloves tore off in less than 3 months for my friend and I am using mine for almost 2years now.. and there are only 2 tears on them.. middle finger and the ring finger.. that too because my friend used my gloves while riding his Classic 350...

Ninja 250/300 are acceptable.. these are monsters in sub 500cc machines..

Its just my personal Opinion as mentioned already so no worries.. and the best part was they had a comparison of RE Classic 500 with the ZMR which was no where near fair..

Let me give you a hint for doing forest reserves. Start from BLR, go to Ooty via Bandipur forests and return via Satyamangalam forests. 350 kms of ONLY CURVES.

BTW, I'm a developer in eCommerce domain.

Hence more suitable for touring in the mid-revs as you mentioned before. So when compared to a p220 we can claim that our stress is less rite. That's my question. But yes when looking at the figures we do get the notion that our engines are stressed than ideal conditions. My point was in keeping the pulsar in mind. Cause I have adviced the same to many buyers and I hope am not wrong!

Yes you can be assured that you have not advised people wrongly.. though buying something depends on individual requirements along with the weight of one's wallet.. but engine to engine, ZMR is any day better than a P220 for daily riding..

Try checking out bandipur. Its pretty obvious a location as you have to ride through that to reach mysore. I have no idea about camping there. But if there is provision for that, then don't miss it!

No modesty really, but plain honest.. just a case study; what if I want to complete an executive MBA from a Wharton or a Stanford in the next 4 years & want to achieve a target in the next 8 yrs.. Standing at the target I see as if i am yet to even start moving in the race called life

There is a very nice African proverb I would share with you guys..

Every morning in Africa a gazelle wakes up..
It knows it must run faster than the fastest lion, else it would get killed..
Every morning a lion wakes up & knows it must outrun the slowest gazelle, else it would starve to death..
The moral is; It doesn't matter if you are a Lion or a Gazelle; When the sun comes up, you better start running !!

Anyways enough of personal stuff... lets get back to the thing called ZMR
