Routes to avoid during the night.
Coimbatore to Trissur
Allepy to Kayamkulam
The road conditions suck balls. There's like a 90% chance that you'll die. Once while returning from Kozhikode Biriyani ride, I was passing through Alleppy, they had closed down the road but didnt bother to put up signs or anything. Just imagine doing 80~100k on a tarmac road, and instantaneously getting thrown into a rocky off road scenereo completely off guard, I fell into huge pit, but fortunately since I was coming in fast, jumped out of the pit, didnt bother going back, stood up and came out.
And be it day or night, its always preferable to hit Kerala from the north end for security reasons inspite of the previously mentioned issues. If you're intending to hit KL from the south, take the express highway till you reach Tuckalay, then from there enter KL. This route isnt preferred during the night, so if it gets dark, find a hotel nearby. And last but not least, dont even think about taking the Tirumangalam - Kollam Route, I still get nightmares of that route, had to take that route in the middle of the night, barely escaped being run over by interstate trucks.

)- bled the brake lines until I felt there was no air lock, wasted about 50 ml oil in the process. 
to wait for one more year just to get disappointed with the specs??
