True. Solo rides give one more flexibility in all aspects. One big downside though - no immediate help in case there is a mishap.

I think the pipe is blocked. I tried to insert a small stick and it went all the way, but the water is still there on the rims.

The tube connected to the drain probably has dust blocking it.. so what you can do is fins that tube and try to straight it out.. then open the tank lid and cover the tank with a cloth or what so ever.. then blow air using a air pump orsomething through the tube and you will find rusts popping out from that drain hole.. happened to me after doing this.. it was fixed.

As Divya Sharan'Jee has correctly said , check in the drain hole under the tank cap ( beside the mouth of the tank when un-capped ) is clogged or the drain pipe attached beneath it is kinked somehow . Also after monsoon ask your service center to empty the tank and drain any water that may have entered into it . It is a common occurance , and water enters the tank from the fuel you fill too . I have drained more than a liter of dirty water out of the fuel tank at a time , thankfully before any rust set in .
I consider this type of tank caps that firstly lets in water and then tries to drain it off with an elaborate arrangement a design flaw . Every other one I see in this wet season is having same problem . Tank cap type that do not let in water at all , is not very difficult to design . Those may not look trick enough though .

Yesterday I had a weird experience with me.. I was riding my karizma in the city, the bike and the electrical were running ok.... As I had to fill petrol, I stopped at a petrol pump to fill petrol, after filling the petrol when i turned the ignition on, I was shocked.. nothing was coming up on the speedometer.. no horn, no self-start, no back-light.. just nothing was working.. I thought of trying to kick start the bike and luckily it started after 2 kicks.. I was wondering what went wrong, I thought that the battery might be low as I recently installed HID lights and a powerful horn. Anywayz, next day I took the bike to a local mechanic and asked him to check the battery and the wires. After checking the battery with a piece of wire, he told me that battery was ok and then he started checking the fuses.. one was for the relay of HID, and there were 3 more under the seat. The one for the HID was ok, he then started taking one by one fuse out from the fuse box under the seat and checking the connection with the wire. Of the 3 fuses, one was not working because of which the whole electrical system and the speedometer/RPM meter went off.. Here is the fuse which was not working..

It was written 7.5 on the fuse, the mechanic got one of 3.0 which worked thou. After getting the bike working, I went to few shops to find the fuse with 7.5 written on it, but didnt manage to find one.

So is it ok to run on 3.0 fuse which was earlier running on 7.5? or should I change it to 7.5?

It is always advisable to use a less volt fuse than a high volt fuse as low volt fuse will cut of over current or voltage flowing than required.. if high volt fuse is fitted. Then it would be a big problem as it can mess up the wiring with high voltage passing without being cut off

That was my understanding of the fuses.. :-) it messed up my dads car relay because the fuse was wired heavily.. since the fuse didnt get blown off.. it affected the relay.. relay cost him some 750 rs for benz when it could have cost us only 50 at max to replace the fuse.. of course it wasnt my dads fault.. the mechanic had done it without our knowledge.. lol

Yes, some mechanics never thinks logically and they just do what they know.

But by using a fuse as low as 3 instead of 7.5 may mean that it'll burn out anytime sooner even at normal voltage/current levels. Had happend to me. Get it replaced with a 7.5 one asap.
