You are absolutely correct here.. but some spoked wheels have a layer inside AFAIK which arrests the air from escaping.. i might be wrong but somewhere i read it..

bought a new tyre (MRF meteor , Rs . 1850 ) a few days back , I hadn't covered 20 km with this new tyre and this happened ... , just look at the size of this nail (actually it's a piece of rod which is used to make gates or iron ) .... , these beautiful incidents and a messed up engine ... , .... :|

I cannot hear any sound from the fuel pump .... seems an issue with it and have taken it to the SVC ...the inspection was done and he just touched the fuel pump and said the problem is with the pump itself as you said ...he said it might take 1 to 10 days to get the part waiting for it now

Damn that's bad. Replace the tire straight away! Are you sure its just 20kms old. Looks older. BTW, is your place very dusty?

In my humble opinion - stick with mrf for your bike . My fav is the mrf nyogrip plus for good roads and mrf moto-C for bad roads in the 3.00x18 size . Use new genuine mrf tube in the correct size for the tyre ( it's marked on the tube pack ) . For a bit more money the meteor you bought is good , a friend of mine is using it for a year now .
Am still wondering how that devious piece of iron pierced your near new tyre like that , pure misfortune , darn ! Semi-button profile tyres ike the meteor series , moto-C , moto-D are not easily punctured by road nails .

It could be some wire might have got cut out or the main connection to the fuel pump is at fault.. ask them to inspect it before replacing it.. thats an easy tssk for them to replace than to actually try and resolve the issue..

Be with them when inspecting the pump.. ask them to remove the pump and see if u can see physical damage like a burnt wire or something...

Its just I am suspicious about it because you said he just touched the pump and they say its faulty.. its a crappy way to isolate the issue.. pls ask them a senior technician to attend it.. fight for it man.. the fuel pump will cost a hige amount..

For such kind automobiles there is a separate VIP pass with no road blockers... I have been doing this for almost last 4 years, but all of a sudden they have started using road blockers for that VIP pass too.. I never knew it and bang against that road blocker.... I got hurt in my neck (few scratches and have tonsil like pain) and right arm pain (not much).. Here is position of my white pearl....

Antan Shank....Wish you a speedy recovery, but do see the Doctor, and don't ignore the pain, since it is an indication of an injury.....

All who are having problems with Fuel pump, please try to learn DIY on how to replace the motor brush in the pump, since it is the most likely part that gives up, and the DIY can save you thousands of rupees of hard earned money...if you cannot do it, take it to any automobile Alternator, self start repair guys and they will do it in a jiffy, and it won't cost much...
