Sorry, I did not quite get you. Could you please explain it in bit easier way?

But the questions that persist are:- Does it happen on all 1st-gen ZMRs? - Does it happen only on the 1st model ZMRs (The ones with yellow backlit consoles). - Is this phenomenon a design fault or it happens over time from mechanical failure of the switch?- Has anyone with a new ZMR (blue backlit HH/HMC) experienced the same?I for one, wouldn't believe that this phenomenon exists on new ZMRs since I have considerable experience with one. But there a considerable number of ZMR owners who have experienced otherwise. Do let your inputs flow...
Never experienced any such issue.. I own the first generation ZMR with the amber back light on the speedo i always had to hold the clutch when in gear to crank the engine..it sounds like an issue with the gear and clutch switch..

So, all is well with all switches in my bike lol.

rreneav1987 Thanks for the reply - we discussed that matter and quoting above post from Divya Sharan and Snehith - it was finally diagnosed as a fault with their respective bike's switches...just sheer coincidence that both had the same issue simultaneously.

Guys i just noticed some mileage/speed range variations during my Bangalore-Hyderabad-Bangalore ride..

Speed Range Mileage
Up to 75 kmph 65-60 kmpl
80-85 kmph 50-45 kmpl
92-95 kmph 35-30 kmpl
105 kmph 29-27 kmpl
115 kmph 24 kmpl

Has anyone experienced such a drop in mileage with these kind of speed range ?

The points to consider are, at all these speed ranges I was riding for quite some time & kilometers at stretch.. infact at one go I rode for appx 90 mins at 105-112 kmph consistently.. The wind blast was always there & I was with a pillion. With chain well tightened/lubricated, tyre pressures 30/35 psi & with the bike serviced a week before.

My Bikes:
Yamaha RD (The one which taught me what riding is; Can never forget this one)
Bajaj Caliber (The one closest to my heart; I still have it after 15 yrs !)
Yamaha R15 V2.0 (The best I had; Ah it let me become the college hunk I once used to be :) )
Hero Honda Karizma ZMR (The bike for the family man in me; The practical one; The current one)

I haven't noticed while riding above 100 but till 95 it seemed to have the similar figures and at the end, my bike gave me an avg of somewhere around 45-46 kmpl..

point to be noted.. I didn't check the air pressure.. i was constantly riding above 95 till 115 kmph range..

what was the FE that you got when you went for the trip.. also it could be the reason that you had a pillion riding with you...

on the first day of ride I guess it consumed appx. 15 ltrs for 585km.. which gives an appx. mileage figure of 39 kmpl

My PSD committed suicide today.
My first puncture on the ZMR in 34.2k kms which killed the ~20k kms old PSD. A flat 4-5 mm snail killed it. Tried repairing the puncture, but it was simply too wide a hole in the tire. Moreover, I do 50 kms daily on bad roads + weekend rides, I was uncertain.

Finally had to go for a tire change. Opted for MRF Zapper Q 110/90-18 TT tire. veryhiphop and @antan_shank, bros its a TT tire.

Cost me 2350.

PSD with the nail. Looks small, but was deadly.

@veryhiphop and @antan_shank, bros its a TT tire.

Cost me 2350.

PSD with the nail. Looks small, but was deadly.

From starting i was saying that its TT tyre...BTW look nice...and i think you may have removed the chain guard; as per my view of Zapper Q here on other bikes specially in ZMA ....its look to me wider then PSD..
