Re: Hero Honda Karizma ZMR
Leave aside weight distro, seats should be hard enough to provide lumber support na! Softer seats are good for 200km trips. Karizmas have apt seats. Gel seats on Ninjas make sense as default ones are too hard.Originally posted by snehithpereira View PostGot a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.

Thanks a lot. Completely ignored the lumbar support aspect :thumbup:Originally posted by Divya Sharan View PostLeave aside weight distro, seats should be hard enough to provide lumber support na! Re: Hero Honda Karizma ZMR
Has anyone tried adjusting the clip on handlebars themselves? I wanted to adjust mine but just to be on the safer side I asked the svc guy to do it and the guy flatly denied saying it can't be done.
So now I got to do it myself, anything in particular that I need to be careful about?____________________

AFAIK, it is not possible to adjust the clipons.. if you wanna raise it more.. then you gotta add after market bolts to the fork to increase the height and then add the clip on to it.. but it is highly not recommended..Originally posted by snehithpereira View PostHas anyone tried adjusting the clip on handlebars themselves? Re: Hero Honda Karizma ZMR
Am not looking at raising it. I just need to invert it a little towards the inside to be able to ride with my back straightOriginally posted by rreneav1987 View PostAFAIK, it is not possible to adjust the clipons.. if you wanna raise it more.. then you gotta add after market bolts to the fork to increase the height and then add the clip on to it.. but it is highly not recommended..
I assumed it would be to loosen the bolts were the clipons are attached and adjust but the svc guy scared the crap out of me, so just wanted some kinda confirmation/reassurance before I go/not go ahead

Re: Hero Honda Karizma ZMR
In that case you cant do it as it is set to a songle position.. i tried to do the same 2yrs back but failed as the dont stand in any other position. But 2yrs is a long time and there might be a way now.. but any mods to the handlebar is gonma put you at risk..Originally posted by snehithpereira View PostAm not looking at raising it. Re: Hero Honda Karizma ZMR
But main concern is where are the knowledgeable mech....Originally posted by psr View PostFrom my talk with HH mechs , I had learned that the Fuel Pump of a ZMR is recoverable...there are two fuel problems known to them..
1. Air lock in the fuel line which starves the engine and makes it to stop,
2. Fuel Pump motor brushes get worn and pump looses pressure and ultimately stops...
The pump can be opened and serviced for Brush wear out by a knowledgeable mech ,and so is recyclable...
I had visited 4 SVC in Delhi...non of have a proper knowledge for ZMR....they even don't know how to reset ECU...how to solve missing problem...how to check fuel pump....etc etc etc....
HM has provided tools and traning to every SVC specially for ZMR....but these peoples does not care...

Re: Hero Honda Karizma ZMR
Hello Bikers,
Just Help/Suggestion for my ZMR
My bikes chain got loose 3 times this month, one applied oil and the other applied grease and it did not last long.
and the last local mechanic told me that I would have to replace the chain.
hence wanted to know is that required still.
I have completed around 19000 km and dont drive above 70 to 80.
Also the chain has started making sound when i go above 40.
If need a replacement where can I get the ORIGINAL chain KIT , would be probably going to Lamington road this Sat (Stay at Vashi)
what would be the cost and can a local mec replace it OR I would have to go to Sc to got it done as i believe the settings needs to be appropriate wise the new chain will create issues later
around how much would the chain kit cost and how much should the labour been given
also if any one knows a mech town side around byculla area or near JJ let me know or at Vashi or Nerul or powai all locations accepted

Re: Hero Honda Karizma ZMR
It is time that your ZMR gets a new set of Chain Kit.. 19000 kms is pretty long and good enough for the Stock Sprockets.. get them changed..Originally posted by Parvez Radiowala View PostHello Bikers,

Re: Hero Honda Karizma ZMR
Does KM always determines the change of a part?? I am using the stock chain kit and completed more than 22K... Still going great guns checked last weekend with service center guys... So I guess less care and riding style determines...Originally posted by rreneav1987 View PostIt is time that your ZMR gets a new set of Chain Kit.. 19000 kms is pretty long and good enough for the Stock Sprockets.. get them changed..

Re: Hero Honda Karizma ZMR
Nope, it doesn't always determine the time to change the part.. however in his case, the chain keeps loosening and besides, these parts tend to wear out and can never be determined on how long they can last..Originally posted by antan_shank View PostDoes KM always determines the change of a part?? say for eg. Divya Sharan.. his bike's rear disc pad is still stock and I had to change mine 2 times.. some tends to last longer and some don't.. and 19000 is a pretty decent and long life...Splendor - 2k to 2006

I changed both rear and front disk pad around 16K... Though had rear disk didn't need it had half the meet... But shifting from Pulsar to ZMR, I must mentioned the chain kid quality is excellent as pulsar needed to changed every 10K at max!!!
One more question is there any online portal from where I can buy NGK Iridium or G-sock spark plug, not getting it in local distributor points...

Re: Hero Honda Karizma ZMR
Well, I changed my rear sprocket to Pulsar 220 dtsi (36T rear sprocket) when I completed 15000 on the odo.. and the stock rear sprocket was still good enough, but changed just to check how sprocket mods help in acceleration and top speed..Originally posted by antan_shank View PostI agree!!

it helped increase the top speed by almost 5kmph..
but I had to change the sprocket at 23000 kms (8000 kms since rear sprocket replacement) the front sprocket was still in good condition, could have been used for another 2000kms or more and rear (p220s) sprocket had a broken teeth.. so I decided to go stock again and here I am.. completed 5000kms and seems that the chain and sprockets are in good condition
I am sure they will last atleast 15000 kms..
Sorry mate.. I don't rely on Online stores when it comes to spark plugs.. better go get them from the spare parts store
