Don't buy stuff like helmets and shoes online. Because the size shown may differ and these 2 must be snug fit. Apart from that, all is well.

Yes, this site caters to big bikers but we also find our stuff at times.

Yes it is. NGK costs that much, if you buy it from stores some guys might charge about 20-30 rs lower, but I can't vouch for genuine stuff from those kind, planetdsg on the other hand I would blindly trust

Iridium Spark Plug for ZMR here in Delhi will cost you 550 and I guess it is priced correctly and genuine.. you can go for it

Yes I too got iridium plugs for Rs. 550 in Dec 2010 and they are still going strong! (15k KM old)

The stock and normal NGK is still going strong, completed 22K Km...

What is the average lifetime of NGK iridium spark plugs? Someone told me that they will last for 1 lac kilometers?

Heard somewhere
Normal NGK - 20K
G-Sock - 30K
Iriduim 50K

I am not 100% sure with the figures, just a passing figures heard...

Gave bike for service. Estimate was 6k. That's the max I've spent on my bike in these 3 yrs and 33k kms! Changing the following:-
Spark plug from stock to iridium. Stock lasted till 33k kms.
Rear disc pads.
Clutch plates. This is the second time am changing. They are wearing out fast.
Cone set.
Left indicator as it got damaged in the accident.
Rimula r3.
Service and washing.

Could someone explain why the clutch plates wear away so fast? And any change in riding style that could help in increasing their life? Mech said its cause of ripping but I hardly cross 80kmph. My travel is mainly on highway. 20% city that's it.

For clutch plates check the free play of clutch. It should be at-least be 5 mm between clutch lever and yoke or better 8 mm. If clutch play is less(favorite habit of service guys), then clutch will wear out faster.In splendor usually if clutch is slightly engaged we can know as kick will slip, but in ZMR without kick we cannot know if clutch is slightly rubbing or getting engaged.
