Tough luck bro. Try getting the carbon bushes replaced as mentioned by @psr sir in the past. It would hardly cost you few hundreds at max and would save you from replacing the whole pump.
Get the pump removed from tank and take it to a car dynamo mechanic. He will replace the carbon easily. Usually carbons are not available, but he will use the car starter carbon, grind it and fit it. In a matter of few hundred rupees the pump will perform like new. Usually SVC get huge profit on fuel pump so they are ready for changing it.

Usually when carbon gets worn out, the armature will not be properly pressed by carbon which will cause improper current flow and will cause the bike to jerk as when carbon disconnects. Get the pump repaired from dynamo mechanic.

Those dynamo mechanic knows a lot and are expert in repairing the armature.

Its a component within the pump. You can see similar connections in old Mixer Grinders. These things require periodic replacement.

        Hi Guys,
Need your suggestion on the fuel gauge issue.
In my ZMR the last point in the guel gauge was blinking and I had put fuel for Rs.500.
After riding for around 120KMs again it started to blink. I filled again for Rs.200. The gauge showed 3points.
After riding for another 60Kms it started to blink. I filled for Rs.300 this time. The guage went to 4 points from blinking.
Ideally each of the point represents 2litre of fuel as the manaul. Then why is it behaving like this?
How could i really find out how much fuel is still left? As its with FI, i do not want to run it with the risk of empty/insufficient fuel tank.

P.S: I kept the bike in center stand and all observation made are after riding the bike for a few Kms only.

Man it is true haste makes waste. So in haste you have lost money. Actually it is not a defect but a normal wear and tear as with carbon brushes of self starter, they also wear out. Service center minting money for it is really pathetic.

How much is the total damage. Since you paid, insist on getting the old pump back, and keep it with you, otherwise those pumps will be repaired and sold in second hand market. Keep it and when you get time take it to dynamo mechanic and repair it and in the process learn from it so that next time when you face the problem, you know what to do.

            Nobody said 1 bar = 2L!
When 1 bar starts blinking indicating you've hit reserve, you still have at least 3.5L left. Please search the thread for the same discussion members had sometime back.
            Thanks.

I remember having this same confusion when I had got my bike. However the SVC guys then weren't as well versed with the ZMR then ss they are now and they kept telling me that I dont fuel enough, finally tired one day I emptied the tank as soon as the reserve blinked, to my surprise I had nearly four litres remaining.

Since then I started using my own calculation for reserve. Every time I fuelled up I reset the trip meter, and taking 37 as my bikes average mileage, figured out my refill time. It shouldn't be such a painful task but you got no choice, else as an alternate you could use open lid and shake tank method to check fuel quantity

Yes i also thinking the same to keep the old pump and get it repaired....

Last week the mechanic had clean the injector also he says that all line/pipe connect to fuel pump has been cleaned along with the fuel pump....it is referring fuel pump clean to carbon brushes ...not sure...

Finally had to go for a tire change. Opted for MRF Zapper Q 110/90-18 TT tire. @veryhiphop and @antan_shank, bros its a TT tire.

                  Cost me 2350.

PSD with the nail. Looks small, but was deadly.

Good Luck Man completed 20K without any puncture.. I have just completed 3K and already have 2 Punctures.... How is the Zapper Q??? The tread seems to much similar to PSD....

Just had a doubt Enfield uses Zapper Q - is that TT or TL??

Well, I rode just 24 kms so far. Grip is ok. Not like what PSD was when new. But better than stock.
Passing time!! Get grip of yourself!! You will come back with a bang!!! More ZMR is still there with you...

I remember eryhiphop saying that Zapper Q in RE has TL tires, but I searched around and couldn't get any info on them. Neither does the MRF website have any info.

Meet with an accident... Had a collision with the road blockers that used in tool booth... Actually there are 2 tool booth between Kolkata and Durgapur back here in West Bengal and 2-wheelers don't require tolls to be paid.. For such kind automobiles there is a separate VIP pass with no road blockers... I have been doing this for almost last 4 years, but all of a sudden they have started using road blockers for that VIP pass too.. I never knew it and bang against that road blocker.... I got hurt in my neck (few scratches and have tonsil like pain) and right arm pain (not much).. Here is position of my white pearl....

@antan_shank hope you are recovering bro! You must have hit the blockade pretty hard - you have managed to break off your RVM stems! Hope the damage is limited only to the RVMs and not more. Get your neck examined for internal injuries - they are not immediately evident but can become troublesome later. Ride Safe.

Biking is not about how many Km/h you put on your Speedo. It's about how many miles you put on your Odo. Ride Safe, Ride Long!
