Okay, I am not sure how safe it is to try it for the first time as it could cause other issues if not done properly, I would recommend u wait till some other experienced members give their opinion.

However as to how its done is, you need to loosen the brake caliper bolts and then squeeze the lever till the pads clamp on to the disc, then while holding on to the lever you need to tighten the caliper bolts again.

I will check locally if its avaiable, can you please guide what company and are the things I must look for as I have very less knowledge about projectors and HIDs...

If I get it locally that will be best, or else buy it online.. But sadly can't find anything in ebay with projector kid, there are a lot of HID kid...

        Thanks in advance...
See the Chinese ones you don't really have to worry about what company or anything of that sort, they all are the same. You need to make sure you get the entire kit (projector, bulb, angel eyes, hid ballast, ccfl ballast, wiring kit, mount) then you are good to go.

Look if you don't find one locally and if the online one is over priced, I could always ship one from bangalore if you need.

To seach on ebay just search using "xenon projectors" you will find enough. Please note dont pay absurd amounts for the chinese stuff

          2 possibilities:
          1. Stems in the caliper are stuck. You would simply need to lube the stems. For better results, open up the caliper pistons and clean them. Then lube them. Gear oil works fine here.
          2. As Antan pointed out, check the recoil spring near the brake oil reservoir. Change it to hard metal type. It has a greater spring-back action.

          The process for possibility 1:

          1. Switch off the bike and keep the keys away.
          2. Ensure there are no kids/idiots around.
          3. Open the disc assembly from the fender.
          4. Bleed the brake lines with DOT4 oil.
          5. Remove the float pistons from the caliper. ENSURE that nobody touches the brake lever now.
          6. Clean the inside tube with a soft clean rag of cloth. (you may spray some petrol too for fine cleaning)
          7. Pour in about 10-15 ml gear oil (anything except engine oil/brake oil would do - USHA oil for sewing machines does wonders)
          8. Refit the pistons.
          9. Bleed once again to ensure there are no air locks.
          10. Fit back the disc assembly and top up the oil reservoir.

          Process for possibility 2:

          1. Buy a metal spring back assembly from the spare shop.
          2. Take it to ASC/mech and then its just plug and play,

The one in the link seems good, as it includes shipping too. Demon eyes in my opinion are just ugly. They spoil the look completely. Demon eye is the dim red light you see inside the projector. However it's ur personal preference that you need to keep in mind.

Thanks... I personally didn't like the demon eye... Just saw it and hence confirmed with you on what it is... One more thind when does the Angel eye glow?? All the time while bike ignition is on or with the headlight or pilot switch??? Is it visible when projector is on??

Angel eyes turn on when pilot lighys are on and continue to be on with the Headlight. Visibility of angel eyes depends mainly on general ambient lighting. For eg. In dark area you can definitely differentiate between the xenon and angel eye, however in brightly liy cityscapes with light from oncoming traffic, its hardly visible to others. Again angel eyes come in various colours and it's a matter of personal choice, vehicle color that one would chose.

guys, anyone knows how many days the moderators take to approve a new travelogue ? I had started my first travelogue thread yesterday, but I cant even find it for editing anywhere ! BTW, I am coming back from a Bangalore-HYD-Bangalore trip & i must say it was wonderful.. ZMR stood up to all the expectations I had !! Not a single issue observed throughout 2 days of continuous ride up to 1200 KM..

Depends. Anywhere between 5 mins to 5 days. I have faced both. But the best way is to PM "The Monk" about your thread and it'll be approved when he logs in.

What @Divya Sharan has said is likely the fact.. the 1st possibility..

now to add to it.. there is a small brake piston which connects the brake lever.. if you remove the brake lever, you will find a small piston.. that small piston needs lubrication.. better do it from the SVC.

Ask them to do what Divya has already said and include the steps that I mentioned..

                              1. Remove the brake lever.
                              2. there will be a small piston.. ask them to lubricate it, put it back in place and viola.. the issue will be fixed..

Oil seals must be replaced if the caliper pistons are removed.

Are you referring to the caliper sliding pins as stem ? Caliper pin is best lubricated with silicone grease but any AP3 grease with a drop of oil can also be used. Only a dab of grease with a drop of oil should be used to lubricate the pins, too much and the pin won't slide at all.

Whatever comes in contact with brake oil should not be lubed by anything else. Pistons while refitting, should be lubed only by fresh brake oil. Same with the master cylinder piston.
If the brake lever does not return to its original position then the master cylinder should be opened, cleaned with spirit & lint free cloth and old piston cup must be replaced.

If the master cylinder had any deposits then the caliper pistons must also be removed, cleaned and the seals replaced.

Next - Remove the pad retaining pin from the front caliper, remove the caliper from the fork-lower, remove the pads, remove the pad spring/support, pull out the mounting bracket, clean all the old grease from the sliding pins, lubricate them as mentioned above, clean the pad spring, de-glaze the pads by rubbing them on a sand paper and then use a scotch brite to remove any sand that might have embedded on to the friction material.

Assemble everything back and bleed the air out of the system.
