Fork seal has gone bust. Get it replaced. Sorry, I don't remember the price for it. New clutch + pressure plates cost 1450 in BLR.
Change them only if needed.

Symptoms :
1. Reduced pickup and improper speedo reading. Like 60 kmph @ 5k rpm in top gear.
2. Burning smell from clutch while riding.

No such loss in speed or heating.. will get it replaced after 1500kms

it cost me around 1000 which included the fork oils seal + removing the fork bend

have to replace the engine oil so planning to go for r4 [MENTION=47074]Divya[/MENTION], is it available in all shell outlets

Ok.. here i am in asc.. he test rode the bike.. he said suspension needs check.. i told him to look at the suspension and he said yes.. fork seal needs change.. asked them to adjust the tappet.. he has noted to check the vibes of the body parts which they never do..

Total expected expense is 1200.. i will have to what they are doing..

For the seal they mentioned 250.. will have to wait for the bill..

Gonna be next to my black Pearl during this period..

My fork is not bent

i was finding the suspension not upto the mark 2 days back and only now i realised its because of the busted fork seal..

They may change the engine oil..so keep an eye on it

You are correct sir.. they had it written down and i asked them not to change it that time itself

usually i ask them not to change.. this time i forgot to mention it.. dont know what was running in my mind.. now she is waiting for a bath..

R4 is not available in few bunks cause people do not go for it. R3x is readily available. If you get r4 then good enough.

With too many kms on bike and loosing pickup , sticky gear shifts,false neutrals( cmon in p180) indicates time to change clutch plates and pressure plates

Wrll.. i guess the clutch plates good then..

finally reached home.. horrible experience today.. had to fight to get things done.. they didnt have many stuff in stock.. the mud guard frame.. the front brake switch for the tail light.. even the common things they don't have..

Changed the head seal as there was leakage.. changed the fork seal.. got the battery charged.. tappet was fine.. dont know what happened yesterday but today it was fine..

Spent 510/- for all this which included the so called general service.. didnt change the oil
. By the way.. they changed the fork oil and seal only for the right fork.. asked them to change for the other one too but they were lazy and kept saying that one is fine.. they asked me to get the wheel alignment as they felt wobbling.. i asked them not to ask i was already tired..

Ideally you should get both forks done and the oil changed at service

But he had recently changed oil to rimula rite. Even I was planning same. Changing oil ourselves instead of in service.
