0-60, 0-100 speeds
Hi divya, two versions of the app r available in the market for my galaxy nexus. I used the free version only. The diff between the free and paid is that, paid offers a overlay speedo which can be put over ano other app. Eg, googlemaps.Originally posted by Divya Sharan View Post

Seriously bro, our machine is heavily underrated by reviewers. I guess they donno how to ride and complaining on d machine. Also did u crouch and ride down a slope to achieve d topend? Jz being curiousOriginally posted by rreneav1987 View Postbro.. I have already touched 129kmph when my black pearl was stock.. touched 133kmph last July after a little mod.. might have gone upto 135kmph if i accelerated hard but decided not to and slowed down to wait for my friend on his RTR180.. he reached after almost 10secs and he said his top speed was 126kmph on the speedo and his speedo has an error of 7kmph.. note.. these were the indicated speed from Speedometer.. might be less or more.. can never say

i will be checking the performance of my bike soon.. but I guess it would have reduced...RVM is a good tool to see your buddys losing behind while racing :)

Buddy.. you are right.. but just out of curiosity.. has anyone tried this?? the CBR250s ECU with ZMR?? practically not possible.. but just wanna know if anyone has tried it..Originally posted by Divya Sharan View PostHa ha good thought mate.
Sadly, the concept ends right there. Both share the same FI tech and nothing else.
Bore/stroke/displacement/valves/compression/cooling/power-train/transmission/ignition timings/OHC-DOHC difference/sensors etc are all different on both bikes and cannot be interchanged.
Also, engine mounts, chassis etc are different.
If the above were possible, we'd be trying out CBR 1000RR's ECUs on our rides.

Thanks veryhiphop for posting mobil1 query for me & Divya & PSR sir to answers . Though the images posted by PSR sir difficult to load on mobile .
Purchased it Mobil1 10W40 FS OCT 2010 packing .
Not going to change the tyres as planned before , cause actually my passion needs tyre replacement so plan was to use ZMR tyres on passion & new better tyres to ZMR,
but as there is no option for front tyre for ZMR , so getting new tyres for passion , may be ceat GRIPP .
There is no change in part number for Disk Brakes both front & rear & Shock absorbers in spare manuals of 2009 , 2011 & 2012 ZMR's . Mean's all have same setup . 2012 owners can confirm it .

Is this the best oil for the bike? I am also looking forward for my first 3rd party oil try as my free service is over. "Mobil1 10W40 FS" How I should use this package? Divya sharan sir, what you said is right. But am not talking about 1000rr..Its just a 25cc difference between 250r and ZMR and sensors are same six sensors.Originally posted by Divya Sharan View PostHa ha good thought mate.

One more reason for the Karizma being called a slow boat is the high %age of speedo error on the P220. It may be doing only 125, but it'll show 140. That's what riders want!Originally posted by vishnurajanme View PostSeriously bro, our machine is heavily underrated by reviewers. I guess they donno how to ride and complaining on d machine. Anyways, it has 4 horses extra at its disposal, so it is faster (top end wise). But, its no rocket science understanding how P220 riders claim to have done 145 kmph.Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.

You are right.. in Nepal.. a P220 owner triggered me into racing while we were actually touring.. beat him hands down..Originally posted by Divya Sharan View PostOne more reason for the Karizma being called a slow boat is the high %age of speedo error on the P220. i was over taking his bike at 115kmph and his speedo was showing 125kmph.. lol.. that guy must have thought I was flying at 140kmph or something.. then I slowed down and gave him a thumbs up
He smiled.. lol..
but yeah.. you are right.. people just cry saying my bike touched 145, 150.. even RTR 180 owners cry.. saying my bike topped 140 + all speedo errors.. I am just happy that the ZMR shows the true speed
and I am pretty happy with 133kmph top

As most owners claimed , yes it is the best . Till date 38xx+56xx=94xx kms my bike covered using HH oil , it would be my first 3 rd party oil on ZMR . Will pour it in later half of this month or maybe after some months when bike is around 15000 kms . I am not sure , just grabbed the oil cause i think it was good to get it stocked as mobil1 is not available in my locality .Originally posted by vishnurajanme View PostIs this the best oil for the bike? Satyajit Da has sent an email with mobil1 images to most of owners . Either contact him or pm me your email id will forward that mail . Lazy to click shots of my Mobil1 bottle
as difference is Satyajit Da has JUN 2010 packing while mine is OCT 2010 packing .
If anyone needs Mobil1 & not finding , let me know will help you .
PSR sir as total kms till date covered by my ZMR is around 9500 . Should i use Mobil1 Fully Synthetic or use Semi senthetic oil like Shell AX7 first & then shift to mobil1 ? Which way is good . Not willing to continue with mineral oil as summer is around corner .

It is better to first test for leaks with Semi Synthetic before going for Fully Synthetic...The Fully Synthetic oil composition is made of smaller particle ,and hence microscopic gaps will be adequate for the oil to leak through.....further during run in also a SS or FS will not allow engine to settle down like a Mineral oil will...Originally posted by Above_All View PostPSR sir as total kms till date covered by my ZMR is around 9500 . At 9,500 Kms better to test with SS first and then ,if there are no leaks move on to FS.
Selecting an oil is a never ending search and a subject of much discussion..
The main points to look out for are..
1. Type of oil...Mineral,SS,or FS...depending on run in, and engine's tolerance between moving parts.
2. Grade of oil..depends on ambient....ambient below 0 degrees require 0 or 5 W,and above 10 C....10 or 15 w. The number next to the W to be selected as per Manufacturer and personal experience....
3. Choose an oil with least Viscosity Index...the index denotes the difference in oil viscosity between 40C and 100 C Kinematic viscosity.
4. Most oils will have same indicated viscosity at 100 C for a given grade after "W".
5. Look at the 40 C number , and the difference with respect to 100 C value....the larger the difference, greater the oil's difference in viscosity with temperature.
6. It is better to select an oil with lower Viscosity Index number since this denotes lesser change in oil's behavior from Cold to Hot condition
7. Flash Point of oil...For Air Cooled engines better to select an oil with the highest number since the temperature of engine is dependent on air cooling and
likely to become high during summer and idling in traffic condition.
8. Additives....Better to select an oil with some amount of ZDDP(Zinc DiAlkyl DithioPhosphate) which will protect the engine moving parts against wear...this can be assessed from the MSD of the oil.
Modern Gasoline(Petrol)oils have almost Zero ZDDP since over a long period of time it kills the cat con. The trade off is the Cat con is safe but the Drive train of Cam,Valves and bearing in the engine have higher wear and needs replacement sooner than before...In this context most Diesel oils have higher ZDDP.
Look for oil that does not have Friction modifiers ie., Molybdenum Disulfide ,which will lead to clutch slip.
Hope this is helpful..Last edited by psr; 02-05-2013, 11:50 AM.When Was The Last Time,You Did Something For The First Time.

Hi psr, mine is only just over 5000 kms. Can I switch on to SS now? Also, I had a fall and there was oil leak from the engine. They had to change some engine cover which cost me around Rs.600. Will it be legitimate to change some Rs. 600 worth part for stopping the oil leak?RVM is a good tool to see your buddys losing behind while racing :)

As PSR bro has already mentioned.. "The Fully Synthetic oil composition is made of smaller particle ,and hence microscopic gaps will be adequate for the oil to leak through.....further during run in also a SS or FS will not allow engine to settle down like a Mineral oil will.." for my ZMR i didn't have any leakage issue when I shifted directly to Motul FS.. but for some guys there have been issues..Originally posted by vishnurajanme View PostHi psr, mine is only just over 5000 kms. At 5,000 kms you can even switch to FS if there are no oil leaks. You had not mentioned the part that was damaged due to the fall....depending on the part the cost will varyOriginally posted by vishnurajanme View PostHi psr, mine is only just over 5000 kms.
