    HID BEGINS FROM 4300kelvin...-warm white in colour...it is the closest tone to the yellow tone..!!
    AFAIK in India for two wheelers kelvin tones upto 6000kelvins is allowed( i suppose this must b d one uve installed...it has a tinch of blue tone to the beam) if you go beyond 6000kelvin...!! ur a cop magnet...!!

      • Feel pity for HMC sometimes. For where have they been stranded in! Licence with Honda ends in 2014. Wish it were 2012 instead.ZMR is a very potent bike. Same is the case with ZMA. Only wish it were a 250cc, with around 25 bhp on tap, better fairings and a little less weight.How could have HMC differentiated it from the CBR250R? Pricing, mileage etc.Frankly speaking, I just wish HMC brings out a 250cc soon carb'ed version. I know FI has its benefits. That's the reason I get 40+ kmpl on a 223cc bike, but this is an Achilles' heel on this bike.Many users have reported ignition/fuel pump related issues with their bikes. I fear that I may have to shell out 12+k to get it repaired. Leaves a bad taste on me.
        Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.

          hummm....According to my limited knowledge about the HID's i still am aware that 6000k is approved by the Department of Transportation (DOT). I dont say your wrong brother...with due respect to your information, i put forward my opinion..:-)

          Agreed to all what you say my friend. But i still feel Hero Honda ( When ZMR was produced) have thought a lot about the Indian mentality of having a sports looking bike with a superb fuel efficiency. A250cc bike...!! my ZMR reaches 120kmph cruising speeds on highways in india....and not denying the fact that yes there are roads where you can easily surpass the 150kmph mark on the CBR250R or any other faster bike....!! But paying a good difference in amount....filling in fuel in a less fuel efficient bike......i feel its a little off the Indian mentality for just a 30kmph difference in speed....which adds up to more controlling issues.....!!! I feel the ZMA and the ZMR are the perfect bikes for the Indian condition and Indians...!!
          Yes if you argue about the make...as in the fairing and stuff...yes there is a scope for improvement....!! But if you go to say on the power front...yes a little tweek in power is accepted...but a whooping 25bhp...at the stake of fuel efficiency....not my take on it brother...!!

            Exactly.. Infact i was bothered about increase in performance when i first got the bike.. So only went for filter to increase acceleration.. But now i am least bothered about acceleration.. As long as the engine remains smooth and the ride is steady i don care about the pull or the top speed now (though the pull is much better than stock zmr).. I even am planning to remove the filter as i miss the old exhaust note!! And yes if the fairing were less bulky and even more stylish and less vibrating then it would have been a perfect bike.. But nothing in te world can be perfect can it? ABOVE ALL!!!

              +1 brother....the fairing could have been a little less bulky.....but cannot deny that the it surely gives the bike a good heavy feel which makes it stick to the tarmac at high speeds....!! i have ridden many bikes on Indian roads...for atleast 300kms at a streach....the p220, r15 (Both versions), ZMA and the ZMR.....but the most comfortable riding position and control ive got with the ZMA and the ZMR.....yeah the p220 also feels good when it comes to the riding position...but lacks a little in control and engine smoothness...cannot ride at high speeds constant for a long time..(Personal experience). where as the ZMA n ZMR have a good feel on long rides....and the best part...have a lot of space for luggage to be tied,strapped,hooked,stuck...etc...!!!
              For me thr best Indian tourer bike as on date is the ZMA n ZMR.....!! ZMA is swifter than the ZMR....and ZMR is much more fuel efficient...!! Last weekend i got a fuel economy of 48kmpl on my Mumbai Nashik ride....arnd 600 Kms...!!!

              Guys il be changing my tyres this weekend...!! Have planned to change them to MRF ZAPPER Q...!! For rear il b going for a wider 110 section...!! So just wanted your reviews on the tyre performance and will a wider section hamper the performance of the bike... ???

                Even I upgraded to 110 mm rear. Didn't find drop in mileage. The performance may have been hit, but I never dragged the bike, hence the little drop (if any) in performance doesn't matter.
                Moreover, I feel that in certain highways around Bangalore-Chennai-Salem where I do most of my trips, 100 kmph cruising isn't enough. Now don't say you ride non stop for hours at 120 clicks. You'd kill your bike for sure. Hence. I feel the need for 30-35 cc extra with 7-8 ps more power, so that I can cruise for hours at 130 clicks and hit 160 clicks if I wish to. Give me these things and I'd be happy with 30 kmpl.

                          okk
                          cost of oil seal = 92
                          oil = 90
                          labour = 90

                          note : 1) get your own oil donot use HMC oil as it sucks. get any oil motul, castrol or even waxpol suspension oil is good.
                          2) If you are unable to get oil seal of ZMR then get one for hunk/CBZ-X as all are same and get original one.
                          3) no fairing does not needs to be open for the job.

                                He he, good one Mav. I'm a happy user, but I have already mentioned it in the previous posts, I wish ZMR had these things/features too. Moreover, I can't stick to a 223cc machine forever, hence me saving now. Lets hope we get a good alternative soon (read Honda 500s/Duke 390 etc)
