We can always meet. Maybe we can have meal at Vellore. Halfway for both (almost). I'd love to meet you.
Tools, hmmm... A few spares that one 'must' have while on a trip are:
    1. Accelerator cables A and B. - 1 number each
    2. Clutch cable - 1 number (2 in case you're skeptical)
    3. Spare tubes (in case the tire gets punctured beyond repair), else a TL puncture repair kit will do. Its small in size, usually a fist size. Can be put into a slot in the backpack easily.
    4. Tools like a 22 mm spanner, a 17 mm spanner and the stock toolkit that came with the bike.
    5. An extra headlight bulb, a torch. (Only if you ride at night)
    6. Medical aid kit and plenty of fluids.

These items put together weigh less than a couple of kgs but can save your life and money when in trouble. Keep your ride serviced before a ride and ensure that you run atleast 200-300 kms after the service to ensure there are no problems cropping up. You don't want getting stranded on the highway because some bloke at the SVC forgot putting engine oil in the bike.
    Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.
Because everyone who passes, isn't a martyr!

Don't know the cost; actually i forgot to note down the price,

The part was not available with them; so they have get the same from the new ZMR from there showroom. They have also not mentioned in the warranty part bill due to this reason..i have seen the part taken from my ZMR...it has a computer socket ....

Well for performance change...i have feeling bike very light, smooth...pickup has increased....not sure it is due to ECU; as some engine parts too has been changed.. i.e Cam shaft, cylinder kit, values, gasket, pistons....

Problem; Cold start issue has appear from tomorrow...will be visiting again; may be this weekend or after diwali...

All other issues has been resolved...

Spark Plug. - Due to issue; plug got damage. Changed to normal NGK

              Fuel Injector

              2. Engine Sound and No smoothness/refinement.

              Cylinder Kit

              Gasket

              Cam Shaft

              Values
You have had a major Parts replacement done on your bike..It is the first time I am hearing of a ECU in ZMR having issues . My guess is the ASC mechanics had not done a proper trouble shooting and were changing parts at random to solve issues. Of late i do see ZMA/ZMR complaints on Rocker,Cam failures.....either the quality is going down or something in the oil we use as standard that is wrong...esp., since TWO additives which help in reduction of friction and wear out of moving engine components have been removed from the engine oil composition.

Right psr...to solve issues they are changing parts randomly due to non availability of tools to check ECU and others....They are not able to understand the solution of problem...even they call two of the mechanic from other SVC...and they too not able to resolve the issue of engine stalling....

engine stalling issue has been resolved...but from tomorrow facing Cold Start issue...RPM fluctuates a lot and on riding acceleration has a humps sometimes...can you give your feedback on this issue....

Guess the ECU has to learn for some time..This happens in cars when the battery is changed and ECU is without power for 3 minutes or more. This is because the actual riding values in the ECU for Ignition timing,Injector timing, and lift , are reset and the ECU re-learns all this through repeated use for say about 3~4 off and on start and about 10~20 kms of different riding situation...
That said if the Tappets are not set properly or any issue of air leak in inlet will also cause similar issues.
Better to make the SVC attend and rectify the problem, since you have almost all critical engine management and parts as new.

yes; tappets are loose now...and it is mentioned by person who does the job before i take delivery; he said that engine parts are changed; let them set once during riding a bike and he will retune the tappets...will this be a issue of appearing the issue of cold start?

                    • Another ZMR scare! Metallic sound coming from the engine!!!

While returning from office yesterday, I heard a strange sound coming from the bike. It was more like a mechanical kirrrrrr kirrrrrr sound coming continually. I was shit scared. The sound seemed to come from the engine....

Parked the bike, let it cool for 15 mins. Switched on the ignition, started in one crank.
                      .
                      .
                      .
                      .
5-6 seconds later, I'm cruising in 60s when I hear the sound coming again.
I drop down the speed and put my ear close to the petrol tank whilst riding (please don't scold me for this - I return home on a very deserted road around 8 PM.)
Yes, that mechanical sound was there... Could hear the faint noise even in the 40s.

Came back home. Read all previous posts... Various thought loomed in my mind...
Engine failure.... Metal component in the engine.... Con rod, crankcase, piston, seal, valves, tappets, bore, stroke blah blah blah.... Slept with a heavy heart.

Today morning, heard the same sound throughout the 14 kms to office.
                      .
                      .
                      .
Evening, I tell my senior that I'll leave by 5 PM as I've to see a mechanic. On my way to the mech, I revved past 6K in 4th and heard that sound loud and clear.
But I saw something else too.
I saw that the key chain also vibrated. Yes, I HAVE A METALLIC KEY CHAIN.

Down to 3rd. Revved upto 6K again... More sound! Key chain vibrates more..... It was making the kirrrrr kirrrr sound at high revs as it was in contact with the handle bar.
Removed the key chain, red-lined the bike in 1, 2, 3 and 4 (could not pass 5k in 5th, end of road).
                      NO SOUND WHATSOEVER!

Bad key chain... Almost took my life... My Phoenix is safe and stands up to its name....

                      Phew!!!!!!
