Just for my knowledge, will this process harm the Engine??

Just though whether it was possible similar to the flushing of Engine oil in a car... Anyways, thanks I will drain the total oil and pour fresh Engine Oil...

The bleed nipple is size 8 . The inner end is taper and when you tighten it, it partially jam into the Caliper housing due to taper...So if you want to loosen the nut you must use a Box spanner and not a open end or ring spanner both of which will not be able to exert enough torque to loosen the nut, resulting in the nut head going bad.

An Engine Flush whether it is multicylinder car or bigger engine or single cylinder bike engine, will remove deposits in the engine crank case and all oil galleys. If there are sludge formations, then there is danger of the sludge working loose, forming a plug and blocking the oil galleys.The carbon deposits in the Piston ring landings, and deposits in oil seals etc., will also likely to be removed by engine flush...this can lead to a noisy engine, poor compression ,FE, and reduction in performance,and oil leaks....apart from the dangerous reduction in oil flow due to oil galleys getting blocked.
Timely change of engine oil with recommended or superior grade and type will prevent the requirement for an engine flush.
Running an engine with thinner oil with detergent for a short time,is far superior to using an engine flush

Anyone can tell me what is that Marker called, which is used to mark the tyre makers name other information in white??? I am looking for this but I am unable to tell them the exact name...

Bikr not starting after wash..

Hi Guys,

Today I took my ZMR for a wash and to my surprise, she didn't start after the washing was complete.

I had to push the starter button for atleast 2 - 3 seconds but she didn't start after that as well... The engine would fire up, stay normal for 3 -4 seconds and then off again.... Turned off for a while, started again and she fired up normally... But when I started moving, engine got off again...

Then had to twist the throttle a little bit on a higher side to move the bike.. Since then she is running normal..

please suggest guys... if anyone else has faced this issue then please tell me what to do.. i feel that the water is going in from someplace or dont know whats wrong... please help...

It is Oil base paint spray marker , i got it from dealextreme before 1 year & its color is still there on tyres , But you can get the Oil Base Paint Marker made by camlin in any stationary shop ( where pen's are sold . ) Cost is 49/- rupees .

I am back wit another query . . I put up some 147 km on the odo since i bought the bike a week ago .. My query is tat in the manual its given each point displayed in the fuel gauge represents 2 litres of fuel (approx) but my fuel gauge is showin those points sometimes too many n sometimes blinking. .

1) I want to know how much amount of fuel would be in the tank when that fuel gauge pointer first starts to blink ??
2) I heard that the reserve fuel capacity is 3.5 ltrs ( as said by Showroom fellas) and i have to maintain it and shouldnt use the bike fuel less than thatit seems . . Is this a myth or truth ??

dont trust the fuel gauge as soon as you switch on the engine
give it some 1 min to settle and then the fuel indicator shows proper points
since total is 8 points when the fuel tank is full and the fuel capacity is 15.5lts so each point indicates 2lts except for the last pointer which has 1.5lts left(not sure)
when the pointer starts to blink,it means 1.5 lts left in the tank
yes its a truth told by them,bike fuel should always be maintained above 2 pointers in order to save the fuel pump from going kaput,it is common in all fi bikes
maintain the fuel above 2 pointers ,this is what i follow
if anything wrong about the fuel capacity ,correct me guys

Get a call from SVC today; my ZMR is ready for delivery after the engine stalling and roughness in engine reported.....will be going tomorrow for delivery...

wow. . That is gr8 information. . Now i understand tat during my delivery they didnt give me 3.5Ltrs of fuel as promised to me . . Will shoot a mail to Hero Motor Corp on my dealer . .
