Thank you very much sir. And i am not seeing you so much here as previous days. May be you are busy in personal commitments. What an analogy Sibun sir!
Btw, Hero Spares currently is in a bad shape. None of the required parts are available. Hence, went around DIYing the paint + decal thingy to hide scratches.

Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.

So here goes the explanation:-
Lets consider three entities. We will compare it with a dam. Lets consider the battery as Dam, the reservoir as charge holding capacity(AH), the gates as load, and the inflow into reservoir as Charging.
So lets begin the simulation.
Ok lets take a smaller dam or battery as our simulation goes. Ok it will serve the purpose as the water coming in will be released through sluice gates. So the river will be adding the reservoir and the load will be draining.
Now lets come into second scenario. The river is flooded then the reservoir will rise rapidly. We will drain that by opening more gates. Same thing in bikes. The battery after getting fully charged will reject the charging and will be dissipated by heat in the rectifier. Here is no problem in battery.
Now lets come to another scenario. Suppose there is a drought and for irrigation more water is required. But a smaller dam will have smaller reservoir as a result water cannot be supplied in sufficient quantity. Lets come to biker terminology, you have two horns( highway blasters), a HID, a auxilary lamp for night touring. Suppose you are running on highway and night, you give indicator, the light is glowing, the auxilary lamp is running, and you are braking and suddenly you see a dog in front of you and you press your highway blasters. If battery doesn't have sufficient reserve then neither you horn will blow, your hid will switch off as it will not run at low voltage and your bike will stall at worst case scenario.
So why did i compare the dam and battery here.
You see the flood analogy, here the ZMR alternator is like flood, will charge bigger battery with no sweat. But we have to store the flood water in big reservoir for draught season. Thats where the bigger battery comes, which will store more amount of charge. Draught condition is when a lot of load is there on the electricals for temporary period which the alternator cannot supply.
Now got the answer or do you want any more clearing of doubt. Come on ask me.
sir that was a really great analogy you made to make us understand
understood now
but now the questions as a matter of precaution do i have to change any wiring or something???
----consecutive posts auto-merged-----
from the previous posts i have got information that i have to chnage tha battery cage to zma one by welding
but no information about wiring changes

Re: Hero Honda Karizma ZMR
I would like to add a point. Smaller battery with higher discharge rates can fail the battery prematurely. Ideally 70% SOC (State Of Charge) should be maintained for long battery life. Example 10Ah battery can live long when the state of charge is above 7 AMP.

Re: Hero Honda Karizma ZMR
Back after a long 12 days in Chennai
Hope all of you guys are doing great
@Divya Sharan.. The guys at the service center say they will bring in the supplies of spare on demand and are not readily available...
me and my friend went on to book a White ZMR for him (without getting permission from his mom so he might cancel the booking if his mom says no) the headlight assembly is a beauty.. I am falling in love with the bike even more..
Hopefully if he gets a green signal from his mom, he will get the delivery immediately.. I will have a proper test ride of the bike on highways and city next time I visit Chennai..

Re: Hero Honda Karizma ZMR
Do you have the part number by any means?? It will be easier to inquire with the part number instead of trying to explaining to the non educated idiots working in spare parts division..Originally posted by Divya Sharan View PostCan someone help me get the rear disc spring for ZMR? I will download the pic and I will check up nearby.. I am sure they won't have it in stock in Noida or Ghaziabad.. I will check up near Delhi somewhere and revert backSplendor - 2k to 2006

Divya Sharan : budget is not an issue here . Which one would you suggest ?
I've already used nightbreaker plus which was not better than stock bulbLast edited by Adityaask; 09-19-2014, 12:27 PM.I don't brake rules , I merely test their elasticity ;)
