Re: Hero Honda Karizma ZMR
It is the spark pluga at fault. Did you get a chance to see the condition of the spark plug? Did you get it cleaned? The ASC guys dont even touch it unless you force them to do so. They are a bunch of lazy retards..Originally posted by Dr.Hemant Gajendra View PostMy bike is still having the stock ones have done 25000 on odo

Re: Hero Honda Karizma ZMR
Let's start with replacing this first. With time, plugs get weak and the sparks get weaker. After a certain point, they're so weak that they can't initiate an explosion inside the combustion chamber. Replace it and report back!Originally posted by Dr.Hemant Gajendra View PostMy bike is still having the stock ones have done 25000 on odo

An update on my bike:
For 2 days, I was getting a turbo lag-then-boost-above 2000 RPM kinda feeling.
I thought maybe clutch plates are gone. After all, they're ~60k kms old now. But nope! It was the accelerator cable getting stuck for some bit. Greased it and turbo lag is gone!
Also, it has been raining and I was getting the Ninja H2R feeling with my gear shift lever chirping as if there were a supercharger beneath.
Naah! Opened the gear lever, cleaned it and put minor amount of engine oil (maybe a tsp) on the nut where its fit upon and the chirping is gone!
Right now, I'm happy to say that the mysterious turbocharger as well as the supercharger are no longer present in my bike.
Problems still existing:
1. Rear disc spring khat khat noise. To be resolved in a week. (hopefully)
2. Front steering/cone/stem khat khat noise. To be resolved in a week. (hopefully)
3. Front right footpeg (rider) has lost its rubber and only steel base is on the bike. Needs replacement. Next week.
4. Rear left pillion footpeg rattles as it lost its spring 2.5 years back. Will replace it too.
5. Front visor/windshield needs replacement.
6. Maybe some more.Last edited by Divya Sharan; 10-08-2014, 11:15 AM.Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.

Yes WD40 will work. Alternately you can try just a dab of petrol and light tapping on the screw to loosen it up

How did it get rusted?? I mean every service ASC is suppose to clean the dust.. besides your bike has done some 10000 kms, right?? Too early to get rustedOriginally posted by kmk0311 View PostIs WD 40 good at freeing up rusted screws? How, I have no idea. And seriously you think they'd look into such minute details? All they do is adjust your chain and lube it and wash it. At least here in chennai that is the case.
Thanks.Originally posted by Balgi View PostYes WD40 will work. Alternately you can try just a dab of petrol and light tapping on the screw to loosen it up
Will tapping the screw head loosen it? The screw which I want to remove is pointed inwards, so there's no possibility of tapping the stem..

Re: Hero Honda Karizma ZMR
Yes tapping will help as it sends a small shock down the length of the screw and causes it to bounce upwards a bit. also it causes the rust to come loose a bit. Trust me I have done this and can vouch for the results. it will work as long as you can see the screw head and can reach it but don't apply too much force or you'll break the air filter box's cover.Originally posted by kmk0311 View PostThanks.

I have a problem with Cone Set. Got replaced 3 times in 5000kms. Again conked !! Any idea what could be the cause ?
I don't think it is because of riding habits and also I haven't banged any pot holes or speed breakers.
Could it be quality of material or workmanship or any other cause ?
Getting some kinda chain noise from engine, guessing it will be timing chain/tensioner issue. Or any other reason ? Bike has done a little above 35k.

Are they applying sufficient grease? Are yiu sure they are fixing a new cone set instead of just adjusting the old one?Originally posted by Shreeni0403 View PostGood to see you in action for Dhoom 4 [emoji3]
