    Hey Guys today I faced a serious problem with my ZMR... When I switched on the ignition, FI malfunction indicator light started blinking with a strange khat-khat noise... I went to nearest SVC (first time on that one) and they said it was battery problem... I seriously doubt that... As it was night, I had to leave bike there... I've uploaded a video.. Plz watch it and suggest.. And can ZMR's battery be dead all of a sudden without any warning signs or whatsoever...

      Even I've been facing the same problem for the past one year, and every service I mention it to them. Once they even changed the sensor under warranty but later changed it back saying that there was no improvement. I thought it was just me but looks like it's a common problem.

          Yes it can be claimed under warrenty , but i think they refuse it as he got it scratched too.

          In past have that noise problem in around 4000 rpm range when they refitted my fairing , but recently got it solved completely by refitting , its there mistake & have some bolts loose . Get it refitted .

          Watched the video but unable to count the number of blinks . If you can then count the no. of blinks & posts , if they are 29 then there is IACV short circuit , if 54 then bank angle sensor is faulty .

                I didn't knew it previously otherwise I would have counted... But It seemed like it was going forever (not stopping).... They should provide this kind of information in service manual itself...

                Finally changed the battery with a new one and everything is fine now... Hope it remains this way... But I was so surprised to know that battery could go dead without any warnings... I was riding happily and stopped for 50 secs or less and this prob occurred... Also never had to crank twice ever...

                    This Thread & Forum is an interesting place!!!

                    Suddenly you miss for two days and lot of happenings take place.

                    1. Mzee had a crash

                    Nearing my Two Year Ownership of ZMR clocked 24000 Kms but what I have gathered till now are -

                    1. You can write a BOOK on Vibrations
                    2. You can write an ALMANAC on Service Centres
                    3. You can write a DICTIONARY of Impromptu Issues on ZMR
                    4. You can write an ENCYCLOPEDIA on the Knowledge and Friendship of ZMRians

                    Anyone can upload the Pics of a changed Stock Horn and all the numerical ratings mentioned.


                    Since one has gone kaput planning to change to BOSCH or ROOTS or MINDA

                      hope everyone is good
                      few days back changed my rear tyre to Dunlop Monster
                      tyre is really good costed me 1750Rs with fitting
                      its tubeless and size is 100 :/
                      here are some pix

                      try bosch horns ....they are really good pair comes for 500Rs with 6months warranty
                      btw i have pressure horns :P now am planning to remove stock horns and install bosch horns also

                          I think the stock horns are rated at 2.5Amp.

                          Since one has gone kaput planning to change to BOSCH or ROOTS or MINDA
                          Roots Windtone,Cost:540rs,loud enough
                          Bosch Symphony,same as Roots,a little sound difference.

                          Roots Windtone is 5 Amp.Nothing to worry,you have to use a relay with it.

                            umm... warranty is for one year i guess... it's been 1 year n 7 months for my ZMR... bought her back in Aug 2010... so i dont think that will work either... if anyone has done that then they can tell me... i can go to a different SVC this time....
