hey man.. I am sorry for not being able to come online much (courtesy: office!!!) .. but yea... i did went to both the SVC's in Gurgaon... Hard luck!!! They both said that they cannot give me an insurance claim just for scratches on the bike... At first, the guy said that the claim will be done, just bring your bike and we will start the Insurance claim process but when i actually took the bike... the guy just changed his words and said "Nahi sir... Poori bike ka claim to mil nahi sakta.. Sirf scratches hi to hai... Hum to scratches ka claim bhi nah dete...." i was like @*#^&$^#@!... i shouted at the guy like anything and talked to their Manager as well... but same thing...

I tell you.. the guys at Gurgaon SVC are pathetic... they don't service your bike properly and just make excuses when asked for details of servicing done....

I am still checking for Sticker availability in Delhi.. Couldnt find em in Karol Bagh SVC and Mayapuri SVC... will be going tomorrow again to check for claim or stickers.. anything that I can get....

@veryhiphop... hey man... can we meet up tomorrow (Sat 31 march)??? maybe you can check out my bike and let me know if there can be any issues and also about the spares availability???

As for the meet; tomorrow i am having office...so may not get time...will let you know on this

I first clean the chain with Diesel using Brush and then I apply chain spray to remove additional dust followed by Motul Lube. I heard even 2T oil which is slightly thick than other oils can be used to lube the chain.

Only downside of not having chain cover is during monsoon when it will get really spoiled. I guess ZMR's chain is a dry chain and not a wet chain hence, the company provides a chain cover for these bikes.
yes thats right way to clean... infact remove the front sprocket cover to clean as well.. u will see a lot of dirt there. use wd40 on chain and sprocket after cleaning with diesel.

yes i used to use 2T oil or even fresh engine oil will do

May be one has conked off. Done around 23750 Kms in 22 Months!!!

            Now my Questions are:
            1. Price of Horn
            2. Both requires a change or only the affected one
            3. Can we fit any other Horns etc.
            4. Any possibility of Volkswagon Horns (Simply Love the Solid sound)

Quick replies solicited as need to change this weekend.
yes you can put other horns, provided you put a good quality BOSCH relay with it ..else they will drain out battery. Better quality wires will help too

also go for good quality horns rather than cheap ones. go for bosch, roots or elephant

i dont think he was wrong to tell you that insurance cannot be claimed for scratches, there was no need to shout at the poor guy. if u still wanna claim insurance, damage parts by yourself.

also the amount of money you will put in to change all the parts, it would be cheaper to get it repainted in same or some other color

If color has been fade then you can claim for warranty...

I think paint can be claim from HM..it should be under warranty......what all ZMR owner say!

                • Hi Guys. Been long since I came to this thread. Looks like everyones enjoying their ZMRs. Same here.

Lately I'm with my bike's stock headlight power. I need a better bulb. I have a spare 55W bulb with me which was my Alto's stock headlight bulb. Is it a direct fit on ZMR?? I've attached its image.

Also, people who've been bulbs other than the stock 35W ones, please leave your opinions on the effects it has on the battery.

                  Thankx

It will fit...no issues with battery with 55 w bulb...me using from last 8 months...

Personally; i would not prefer the maruti car bulbs...because from my experience there bulbs does not have a proper bright light...i have used my swift bulb and light was not upto the mark..so yellowish...

Suggest you to buy a Philips normal bulb...cost will be 50 Rs...buy from any card spares shop...or if you want to invest high on bulb buy Philips xtreme..cost Rs 500 - 600...

Is it a white light or a yellow one. I prefer a light not much yellow and not tool white as well. Btw, doesn't 60W drink the battery?

God ! Looks like you've rammed into something or vice-versa. But good to see the remaining parts (silencer, brake pads, right rear tail panel, handle bars) are fine. Go and claim the insurance

MY friend had a crash on his ZMR few days back,he is fine, replaced the right side fairings,Now the problem is when ever he rev it between 4000-6000rpm,there is a vibration,on checking it with svc,the mech said its the sensor(One used for turning the engine off during falls) making the sound ad is common in all ZMR's! IS that true? I dont even heard of it! What you guys say? Will it be solved after replacing the sensor? How much does it cost's?
