You'll need to cut the chain cover from inside. I had done that but now I dont have chain cover at all. I just got rid of it

Alright, since you do not wish to remove the chain cover completely, you'll need to cut the chain cover. Here's a picture for your reference.

its not bad to lubricate the chain.. to keep the motorcycle running in top condition, chain needs to be clean and lube and sprockets need to be clean as well

Your right! The bike actually looks kinda cool without the chain cover and it is fun to lubricate the chain. I first clean the chain with Diesel using Brush and then I apply chain spray to remove additional dust followed by Motul Lube. I heard even 2T oil which is slightly thick than other oils can be used to lube the chain.

Only downside of not having chain cover is during monsoon when it will get really spoiled. I guess ZMR's chain is a dry chain and not a wet chain hence, the company provides a chain cover for these bikes.

                            • Horn Problems!!!

                              Friends,

Probably my HORN has gone kaput. Making feeble noise.
May be one has conked off. Done around 23750 Kms in 22 Months!!!

                              Now my Questions are:
                              1. Price of Horn
                              2. Both requires a change or only the affected one
                              3. Can we fit any other Horns etc.
                              4. Any possibility of Volkswagon Horns (Simply Love the Solid sound)

Quick replies solicited as need to change this weekend.
34567 kms and ZMR sold :(

Press front plate of one horn with hand so it won't vibrate now honk & check sound of another horn .

Repeate same process for seconnd horn & check .

So faulty one can be determined . Push the horn clips of faulty horns if they are loose , & try to rotate the front plate anticlockwise & check for sound .

If that won't work & you want to repair it then will post remaining stuff .

                                My Answers

                                1. Between र 100 to 150 for stock horn .
                                2. The faulty one requires change . In ZMR one horn is 440 Hz & other is of 350 Hz , if you want same sound as previously try to get same Hz horn which is faulty from HM ASC.
                                3. Yes you can put any Horns like Air Horn , Megasonic , Windtones etc but note that extra load will eat battery faster & battery need not to be drained in order to run FI & bike.
                                4. Yes if you want put those Volkswagon Horns but don't forget to add a relay .

                                Hope it helps .
