  • It seems like some problem with the bike..
    With a pillion I cannot cross 105kmph!!!!
    It was even 103kmph and it took around 5-6seconds and ducking to go to 105kmph.
    What can be the problem..!!

    And what are the possible solutions I should Implement in the rectification of this issue.

        I shift gears @ 6k rpm or so to achieve the top speed.

              • Hello all friends , on the 11/11/11 my bike speedo reached a magic number of 1111 km total , i tried to snap it by maintaining a speed of 11 kmph but not got it .

                With 20w40 the acceleration may seem slow till warm up....and yes the previuos ZMA of 2003 to 2005 used to become hot sooner than the present one...The Lower cowl in ZMA/ZMA-R, and on ZMR reduces airflow around the engine head and makes it hot...

                Sir i found those two oil can's i used previously in my activa & passion . Honda 20W40 jaso ma & Castrol SAE 20W40 jaso ma respectively as in pictures ,



                I think Jaso MA2 are mineral oils , but which are these Jaso MA oils ? mineral or semi senthetic or fully senthetic ? & is any of those good for ZMR ?

                  JASO MA is the certification for engine oils WITHOUT FRICTION MODIFIERS..
                  MA1 and MA2 are for classifying them in to specific uses...This certification is only for oil's requirement and nothing to do with it's Type like Mineral Semi Synth or Fully Synth...These later details will be printed on the Container itself.

                  The White container with Red cap of HONDA motor oil 20w40 can be used in ZMA/ZMR...Here is a link to clarify oil doubts...

                          Check for air pressure... its one of the biggest culprit for not attaining full speed...
                          going by the recent discussion on oil... i guess a different grade or burned oil will also effect accleration and top speed... PSR sir please correct me if i am wrong....

                            On Saturday went to SVC for noise and body vibration issue...i ask to check all mentioned parts...To verify requires lot of time; he ask to bring on other day and in morning.

                              Yes often the most overlooked checking is the Tire Air Pressure, and old oil.

                                How is your bike doing after those replacements done recently? ow is the noise now? Does the engine emit heat like before or does it run much cooler?

                                Just came back from a near extreme off roading trip in a hiily area where even a 4wheel drive vechicle might hesitate to go. At the start eveyone told that I couldnt make it due to fairing mostly but nothing did hit my fairing. It was very steep inclines and decends full of hair pin bends and the worst part was the road is full of rocks which are loose due to rains.

                                I had some scary moments mainly due to loose rocks and steep downhil, ans had few high impacts to front forks too. Bike just behaved fantastically and too solid. Almost everytime it was only on 1st gear even in downhill or in climb.. My freind with his p220 also managed with 2 falls and a bent clipon and a minor bruised knee.. Crash guard saved him..

                                The track is in above 5000ft from the sea level, in uninhibited foresty mountains only 4wd drivers go there. It was total of 26kms, 6hours taken through dense forests with blinding mist, wow what a feeling! It was the worst road I ever encountered im my whole 350k riding history
