I am using Pirelli SD and it has been used for around 7000kms now. So far 2 punctures in back to back weeks.

@All - Just came back from a ride of over 1100 kms and finally completed 30K kms on ZMR. Proud feeling but just 5 kms before I reached home my Chain cover has completely come off. The chain is now touching the chain cover.

I am yet to examine it but I think the chain cover has been completely rusted now and needs to be replaced with a new one.

If possible, please also post a few pics of the tyre. I tried searching for pics of Pirelli SD fitted on ZMR but wasn't able to find any unfortunately.

                  • Hello people!

Been asking around the Chennai dealers for the last couple of days about the waiting period for a ZMR in red. Most dealers are outright refusing to take any bookings for red as they say its in too much demand! Only black and white colours are readily available. And, it doesn't matter if one is ready to pay the entire amount in cash either. One dealer just quoted a 3 month waiting period for the red ZMR.

Isn't this a bit strange? Why is that the red colour is pretty much unavailable? Even after 2 years of the bike being launched! Does Hero Moto Corp have any issues in production?

Does any one have any idea?

Go to a new showroom and tell you want white... and slowly whisper(loud enough for the showroom manager to hear) that red sucks... He will say white is not available,, only red , black and orange is readily available...
I'm not sure this works out there, but this is what is going on at around Hero showrooms here for the past year . My bro got a red ZMR like this and one of my friends is getting a force silver Karizma 'R' this friday. We asked for white ZMR (which was refused by showroom people though it was in stock), and white Karizma r respectively(here they said the truth, white not in 3 months , and gray not available in kerala, though I saw many on road),, what we done was went to another showroom any told what I said earlier... The other thing around is,
Red ZMR might not be vailable in your city....
But here, last week, I saw atleast 10red, 1 orange and atleast 20-30 black and white(dont read together) ZMR's in the backyard of one of the 3 showrooms here....
Ride, ride and ride.. But always do it responsibly..

                          • Today i got my ZMR serviced & as per the heating & noise issue , the mechanic has dismounted the engine from frame , took it to engine room , opened head & found 2 part uneven in shape( don't know its name they calling it "Chimeny " [a marathi word ] i think its something like camshaft & rocker ) . As last time they placed the order so those parts are already there . So they changed them , it took all my hole day there from 9 am to 7 pm . Have some snaps of that part & wiring diagram of ZMR . will post them later if anyone interested .

An engineer from regional office is also present , we have some chat on the problem i facing & how they are solved , what's pending . It was a really good chat & the person listen carefully what i faced , give some suggestion & some solutions.

Sourav as vin said its statergy of some sales guys , to hide what customer want , they think you gonna pay them some extra money & get your bike in color you want . Best way visit another showroom & check there , if you see bike is there in colour you want but still those sales guys refusing , meet the owner of showroom & complaint about them .
