and i think this problem was exists in 2009 ZMR models...new models does not have this problem...

Lets see, this is the first time that this has happened with me.. If the problem persists then we should tell HH about this.

i have a doubt !!

guys today while coming back from college (which is 35 kms from Chennai ) i wanted to check the top speed. the bike dint cross 112km/hr the digits too were increasing in a very lethargic manner!!

my bike has done 1700kms!! is it the maximum the bike can give ?

Bro top speed depends on how you rides it,Perfect gear shifts are necessary for achieving top speeds.ZMR had topspeed more than 130km/h for sure.

Check your tyre pressure!!!
Amount of fuel in tank (full tank means added weight)
Gear shift (Try to change gears >@7k RPM)
Chain slackness
Wind direction
Road condition
Try to croutch after 110
It should be able to do 125 for sure!!!

Only 112 km/hr

. Bro i achieved max up to 120 km/hr & still some throttle is remained , so it might goes beyond 120 but i cant drive that much cause roads are not good here & traffic & also the cross wind

max i reached is 118kmph. dint got a chance to go beyond that. i think it can go upto 125kmph.

i just managed to stop on a side to a busy ring road, turned off my bike and then shifted to neutral by engaging the cluth directly at the engine side, there is a spring at the right beside flaring.. n rolled my bike to my uncle's compound near by... Seriously guys its heavy to roll the bike as its heavy with full tank of petrol that too in Nagpur heat..

How much did that assembly cost??

Yes; ZMR can go upto 130..

Offtopic: Yesterday i ride Ninja 250...my cousin (to whom i sell my R15) has bought it couple of days back...bike is awesome...few things notice...

1. Superb acceleration.

2. Turning radius is very large.

3. Engine sounds a lot...seems like a diesel engine.

4. Braking is superb.

5. Exhaust sound...mind blowing..due to twin cylinder...

6. Refinement is less as compared to CBR 250...

But if given a choice i would go for CBR 250...because of refinement, Honda brand, After sales service, Better Styling, Better features...cost factor ( for overall cost of bike also for service/spares)

feel a bit convinced now

i will take care of the points u mentioned and will again try to test my bike again

i changed gears at 5k rpm till 4th gear then at 6k to 5th.there was jus 1 liter petrol in my tank. and i filled in nitrogen only the day before!

a clarification please:-
my friends were saying its because the bike is new and asked me not to go more than 100 because it has just crossed 1500. does this got to do anything with the speed?

last week clutch wire of my bike also got broken..my bike is 14k kms old..HH SVC guy came to my house to change it..wire was of 90/-(96/- was printed on it)..now clutch is working absolutely fine..

after 1000kms you can cross 4k rpm so there's no need to worry about speeding on your bike..& i've touched 132kmph on my bike's speedo & considering ZMR has close to NIL speedo error i can say that this bike can cross 130k's..try to shift gears after stretching them till higher rpms..

Very true and speedo error is NIL.
Tested in a parallel drive with P220 & RTR180.
ZMR @ 100kmph, while P220 read 117kmph & RTR180 showed 106kmph.

Reached 124kmph SOLO while 118kmph with WIFE.
But after 110kmph onwards increase is slow and steady.

For safety is it recommended to change @ 15000 km.
