Guys p220 is 21.04bhp @ 8500RPM and Karizma is 17bhp @ 7000RPM.So the karizma will be 20.64bhp @ 8500rpm,Right? or am i missing something here?Originally posted by 111diablo111 View Post

bro the max power is 17bhp @7000 RPM ! so after that the BHP will fall and wont increaseOriginally posted by Aneesh@4GHz View PostGuys p220 is 21.04bhp @ 8500RPM and Karizma is 17bhp @ 7000RPM.So the karizma will be 20.64bhp @ 8500rpm,Right? or am i missing something here?
Please clear my doubt guys.
! suppose now your bike in in 8,000 RPM BHP will be around 15 or some thing ( for example ) ! i will post a pic below check it out for reference !
check out the pics below ! in first pic after the peak torque is delivered the torque curves falls down
second pic is also similar ! after the peak BHP delivery the BHP falls in the higher RPM

exactly ! the ZMA/ZMR produces 18.35NM @ 6k RPM andOriginally posted by 111diablo111 View PostZMA/ZMR produce 18.35NM torque at 6k rpm but p220 produce 19.12NM at 7k rpm..there isn't a gap of even 1NM between both but rpm difference is 1k that's why ZMR/ZMA feels more torquy while riding..
p220 produces 19.12NM @ 7RPM !
hence the torque is delivered earlier in case of ZMA , where 220 takes few RPM more to deliver the same !
thats why i feel the throttle is little crispier in my ZMR than my FI 220 !

the thing is if its till 0 to 100 kmph The zmr might have pulled out the p220 with serious and perfect gear shift !Originally posted by neeraj.juneja View Posttoday, i just managed to beat pulsar 220 with my zmr.
is it the fact that zmr have greater pick up and torque than p220, or it's the quotation "It's not about the ride, it's about the rider"

but when comes to Highway battle ! i knew nothing comes in front of p220 !
As you said ! i have experianced it ! my home town is Kodaikanal ! the karizma is the best under the hills riding condition ! i felt this when i sold my karizma and bought the p220 before 3 and half years !Originally posted by Aneesh@4GHz View PostWow..Great bro.. Its a true fact,Karizma has more torque than Pulsar220.
and off roading capablities the ZMA was a treat for me ! which i really missed and felt bad in my P220 !
it may be because honda's CRF230's engine breed !

The first three gears of ZMA is close spaced while the 4th is 1 and 5th 0.8.....so you get good punchy pull at lower gears and once at higher RPMs, you get to coast smoothly....Originally posted by yash3 View Postthe thing is if its till 0 to 100 kmph The zmr might have pulled out the p220 with serious and perfect gear shift !

The engine of ZMA is the descendent of the legendary CRF230 which is still manufactured...Noteworthy is the engineering by which there is no vibration , even without any Balancer mechanism in engine. When Was The Last Time,You Did Something For The First Time.

Can u explain this deeply? Why is it reducing?Peak bhp?,but still 3000rpm is still remaining.Originally posted by yash3 View Postso after that the BHP will fall and wont increase

My ZMR is almost 7 months old now
.The problem is that rusting has started on my bike's handlebar (the area below keyhole) and there are some minor scratches on the handle
. I want to know that can i change the whole handlebar with clip ons under warranty for free before more damage is done
?
I don't brake rules , I merely test their elasticity ;)

It's because of torque , I would take the higher torque at lower rpm over higher bhp at higher rpms anyday . Everyone loves torqueOriginally posted by yash3 View Postthe thing is if its till 0 to 100 kmph The zmr might have pulled out the p220 with serious and perfect gear shift !

17Bhp @ 7000 Rpm is The peak power
! which is produced by the bike !
Thus at one point the bike produces its maximum power
!
so basically the engine cannot produce any more power above the peak
!
With rising RPM's bove the peak, the energy produced by the bike rises at a faster rate than required
! hence the BHP falls at the higher RPM above the peak level ! And at one point the actual energy required and produced also equalized ( by pushing the bike above its limits ) then the Rev - limiter comes in for its duty !
so after the peak RPM some energy rises at faster rate and it its equalized by high speeds! then before ruining up things the rev limiter safe guards the engine components
! and its very strict in its duty

The rider,everything depends on him.

Every time i see your dp, i preassume it to be a real bug and just manage to escape a blow to laptop.;-)Originally posted by santoosh View PostNumbers vise The pulsar has better torque
19.12Nm vs 18.35 of the ZMa/ZMR
The Pulsar is definitely more torquier , but the feel and delivery is very harsh compared to the zma/r.
The transmission is more superior and power delivery is linear making the zma torque "feel" more nicer...
