Yep, it does heat up, but the problem is engine heats up very fast, even during constant speed highway runing, without use of the breaks or clutch and withot traffic at all.. And can feel the heat even within 5kms riding.. And can feel it on the feet, tank and space between the handle and the tank too.. So I guess it is a excessive heat, overheat..

Anyway I will somehow get the oil cooler check from the service. And by the color of the spark plug I think the engine is runnig lean too.. How can we get the engine tuned to a slightly more rich mixture??

i haven't seen any such problem with my bike...i have done 3800kms in 7 months but still the engine is cool...i think you should check with some mechanic but not with SVC guys...i had terrible experience with Nahur SVC.

I have done about 11000kms and I have a problem since beginning of my bike. My gear shift is damn hard. I thought it will smooth out with couple of thousand miles.
Recently tried a friends ZMR which has done only about 7k kms and the gears are damn smooth.

Any tips ?

Well, that is nice to hear.. What oil do you use, is is HH oil 10W30 or something else?? Are you going long rides? Aren't you feeling any kind of heat around fairings?? Wow, you are lucky bro!

NO i am not using HH oil....i use GULF PRIDE 4T PLUS 10w30....stopped using HH oil on a recommendation of an XBP member.
Do remember if u r changing to GULF....SVC guys will say it will void the warranty...

no bro no long rides for me now...
some heat is there but its not that much...never made a problem for me...but now the fairings have started to make some noise...
u have any opinion over the noise part..?

even my 3rd n 4th gears are hard...rest are smooth...

guys i've successfully completed my trip to chakrata & while i was on my trip, my bike's tyre got punctured badly so i had to change the rear tyre & installed Sirac street..i must say its an awesome tyre..i'll post its pics along with pics of my trip..

now the thing is..when i was standing on a signal yesterday i switched my bike off & when i pressed self start, it didn't start,it was only making an initial noise but it din't ignite the engine..but then i switched off headlight & indicator,it started off normally in one start..i guess that its a prob of battery but other than that i haven't seen any other prob related to battery like weak headlight or horn n all..

so guys what could be the problem?? am i guessing the problem correctly??

You mean when pressed the self start button,you heard a tik sound?But doesnt fired the engine,right?

not a tik sound but a 'grrrr' sound exactly like the bike starts..n for couple of seconds readings showed on meter as well but then bike got turned off even after i tried 2-3 times but after switching other things off, it started normally..

May be you both using different oil's , check that with your friend & also clean the gear area when you going to clean the chain & apply grease

May be as i posted earlier but no one checked it

, check your relay & clean its terminal's with wd40 .

Get the battery checked from ASC or a good Reputed battery shop.
