      • Review for Castrol Power 1 Racing 10W 50

        Hey guys...

I tried Castrol Power 1 Racing 10W 50 on my ZMR.... got it changed yesterday... The bike's sound got more aggressive.. engine more smoother on high revs...

I normally don't go on long rides... but i like to pull the throttle till 7K RPM... I rode her for about 50 or 60 KM at 110KPH last night on the highway (from mayapuri to dwarka to vasant vihar n back to dwarka n then back home i.e. Gurgaon).. Engine was really smoother.... pick-up was good too....

Rest I'll keep you all updated on the performance once I ride her more....!!!!!
        PEACE!!!!\/

        RESPECT!!!!

        • Hole in the Pocket

          Hey,

Gave bike to a friend and a disaster...
          1. left RVM gone.
          2. The left side cowl with Hero Honda and ZMR written is all scratched.
          3. Clutch bent.
          4. Scratches on reflector.

Any idea of how much hole in the pocket?

Should i opt for insurance? i have ICICI Lombard insurance given by HH

2: Approx, 1600 for top one (550 for bottom one)
            4: Reflector cost approx. 125

            Rest parts prices not sure.

would suggest to go for insurance claim..

            • Running In

              Hi guys,
How can i find out if my ZMR is settled or not. How long will it take to complete the run-in. My odo shows 1650. I have taken it upto 75 just twice that too with very linear accelaration. Other than that i used to ride at 60 max. But there are some vibrations that i can feel in the handles. Will they disappear after settling.

You can now take it to 100km/h and try varying speed between 60-100 this will completely open the engine. Wait till 2000kms and after that ride as you like. Remember to change oil at correct intervals.

                  • changed my head lamp

guys changed my headlamp today asked the mechanic to put my m-800 headlamps, he tried but it dint fit properly then he asked me to use 35w white halogen instead of 55w. he said 55w would damage the reflector. got an osram 35w halogen for now. what do u guys say, should i upgrade to 55w?
and my mechanic also gave a bike polish and asked me to use it! have u heard of this "Robert's liquid polish" guys?
and the bulb costed 200 rs.

Bulb Type as on pics is HS1 where as ZMR uses H4 , so is it straight fit ? or you changed the connecting socket too?
How is spread ? please post some pics ? & is it completely white or a yellowish white ?
If you are satisfied with this 35w bulb then stick to it some more months rather going for upgrade to 55w .
M800 bulb is H4 isn't it ? its a direct fit to ZMR might be the mechanic is missed something .
For bike polish i suggest you to check this thread http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/universa...ke-polish.html & buy a good polish ( don't know which 1 as i am also searching for it ) cause the chip one might harm the colour .

Here in Bhopal , the cost of faring is approx 2000 and 750 for the lower one and RVM costs 252 for one piece . Silencer guard (golden or whaterver color it is ) costs around 800 .
                            I don't brake rules , I merely test their elasticity ;)
