Doesn't heard this type of issue from other ZMR owners using LED....Originally posted by Dan_GP View PostWell, I recently changed my stock pilot bulbs in my ZMR to 20 SMD LED bulbs, they were awsom with bright white light..
But after around an hour ride in the night, the inner side of the glass of the headlamp assembly, around the pilot bulb area hes been discolored.. Now it has a whitish shade or mist like discoloration.. And it is quite a heavy, thick whitish discoloration too.
So I switched back to the stock halogen bulbs, couldn't figure out what was wrong, what caused the discoloration of the glass(the reflactor surface is fine)..
And the funny thing is that discolored area can be wiped out, tried with a screwdriver wrapped with a thin cloth, but cannot do it properly coz the opening through the pilot bulb hole is so small that neither a finger nor any other tool can be inserted through the bulb hole..
Everytime I look at the head light, damn...
Really worried about it..
Have you guys experience this with these SMD LEDs?? What hapened there, any clue?? Should I continue using the SMDs hoping that discoloration will dissappear??
Thanks..
The one you are using must be producing lot of heat which is damaging a headlight reflector...

Share the information once changed...Originally posted by Above_All View PostDon't know but some major engine parts , will post detail when i go for change there .
BTW any precautions should be taken ? As i think its going to be a whole engine surgery
Check with the SVC about the running precautions after parts change as right now you are not known what parts need to be replaced in your ZMR....

Problems With my ZMR
It's been a very long time that I had posted here. Hope everyone is doing well and good.
These days I'm facing many problems with my ZMR. It's almost that I'm deciding to sell it off
1. The fairing rattles a lot. Checked all the screws and got them tightened, but still the same issue.
2. The engine gets heated up damn quickly. I completed my second service and the bike has clocked just 2100 in 7 months after my purchase. I hardly drive 10 + 10 KM every day and the engine gets damn too hot for even 10KM of ride. Just 2 KM ride in heavy traffic generates a lot of heat that I need to rest it for few minutes. I wonder how people are going for a long tour on these kind of bike. Or may be the problem is just with my bike.
3. I had done the 2nd service around 2 weeks back and the bike feels as if it's around 3-4 yrs old and was due for the service from over 4-5 months. I feel it that rough. Just for a test I asked my friend to ride for a KM a week after the service and he said the bike feels as if it wasn't serviced for few months
4. Many false neutrals after the second service. I never had this problem earlier.
5. Air pressure loosing in both front and back tyres. Checked for a puncture in 3 shops including one of the MRF authorized showroom. There was no puncture and even then I loose the air pressure very frequently. The answer given by the SVC guy - "tubeless tyres tend to loose pressure very frequently and you need to pump air every 3-4 days". I have never heard that and if that is the case with tubeless tyres, I wonder people will stop using it. Probably 2-3 weeks should be fine. But loosing arnd 6-10pts of air pressure in just 2-3 days doesn't make me happy.
6. The bike handling is very bad. Checked with the SVC guys and he says that the bike is 100% perfect!!! God Knows!!!
So as a final thing I called up the HH south office and I was told that some technician from HH will come out to solve the issues. Will have to see how well it goes. BTW I stay in Hyderabad and it would be great if people can redirect me to a good HH show room for the servicing.
Thanks in advance for the help!

Is that fair if any human being can walk only very very few ? Isn't he gonna forget about walking ? Same way bike needs to be ride more atleast 3000/4000 kms for engine parts got set & reduction in heating as i read from this thread in early pages . Only 2100 kms in 7 month
You have to completed 6 services in 1 year , so ride it more buddy let the engine set , if you are busy in work then go on weekend for ride's ....
1) Fairing has some rubber packing near petrol tank , let it refit by ASC . If you are not satisfied about your asc then go to another .
2) ZMR is a fully faired bike , all bike of such a category has problems of heating when travel in traffic . But while on touring there is less traffic compared in city so very low heating problem in touring on highways , it is absolutely a very nice touring bike . Really nice handling , go to some short tour , so your bike can clock more & you can also feel it.
3) & 4) Change you ASC & make sure the mechanic servicing your bike has got training for ZMR
5) If no puncture but still loosing air then its a problem in Alloy Wheel & tyre join , replace it .
6) How after riding only 10+10 km in heavy traffic you say its handling bad ? What issue you got ?
I again suggest you to ride it more & get it serviced time to time atleast once in 2 months as you have to complete 6 services in 12 months & importantly always be sure the mechanic servicing your bike has got training for ZMR from Hero Honda / Hero Moto

Mate, you have 38 SMD LEDs installed on your bike right ? Could you tell me whether they are direct fit or not ? Also any heating issues with it ? I am also looking to change the stock headlamp bulb with preferably a white light bulb. Do you have any suggestions for that ?Originally posted by Above_All View Postdude check it out http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/universa...tml#post710665Yamaha RX 135 (2001-2003)

Thanks a lot for your points. Noted them in mind. Will follow them to see if they make any change. The SVC guy who services the bike is the only one who is trained to work on ZMR. I even give him perks to take care of my bike.. but still.. Anyways will get it serviced from other show room to see if it makes any change.Originally posted by Above_All View PostWelcome back to xbhp .

It's socket is T10 & also ZMR parking bulb socket is T10 , so its a direct fit , as mentioned in my earlier reply i don't get any issue with them , no heating , no discoloring of reflector .Originally posted by Sp!tfire View PostMate, you have 38 SMD LEDs installed on your bike right ? For a completely white halogen bulb ( not HID ) i am also looking for it , have tried those blue in apperance & written as white from philips , halonix but they are yellowish white not a pure white . if i found 1 will tell you & if you come across any pure white bulb please let me know too...

For white light you can go for OsramNight breaker...its has a little white light not pure...and not yellowish...Originally posted by Above_All View PostFor a completely white halogen bulb ( not HID ) i am also looking for it , have tried those blue in apperance & written as white from philips , halonix but they are yellowish white not a pure white . if i found 1 will tell you & if you come across any pure white bulb please let me know too...
Also, in 35W you can check with P200 bulb...it is also an little white light...the blue coating on bulb is same as OsramNight breaker...they both have a very light blue coating on the bulb...for a white light...cost of P200 bulb is 260 Rs....i have used it in my ZMR earlier....
