Anyways, I read this thread however post only if necessary. So why I am posting today??? We all face issues riding at night because our headlight does not supply adequate throw. Compare it with P220 and you'll understand!

So I have now installed P220 projector in ZMR and it has 55W halogen bulb which comes as Standard in P220 low beam set up. I have set it up in high beam however I do not have a reflector now as it is smoked completely. Installed angel eye for better looks and for day time running light as it is clubbed with pilot lamps.

I might change my bulb to 80w in future but as of now I am happy with the headlight as I can ride my bike now at 100 kmph at night without any issues.

    Total cost - Rs.3000

Here are few pics which I have also posted on my FB few days.
    great work done...

so P220 has only low beam projector with 55W bulb...what's an difference between headlight having a projector with 55w bulb and headlight with 55w bulb...

Hey you forgot to mention completion of 35,000 KM on ZMR...

i guess Zapper Q is tube type and is better then Zapper Y

Any idea on Zapper C. I havent gone through any review of it.

Other tyres are for 17" rims and hence not a recommended fit on ZMR

        Zapper Q is an Tubeless...

Zapper C will not fit for ZMR 18" alloy....they are made for 17"

Yeah, I did complete 35K but did not notice Now it is close to 36K as of today

The only difference is with projector your light is not scattered and is concentrated in one place properly giving very bright light at required area. Also it is does not trouble oncoming vehicles.

Another pic of the new installed projector. Note - This has been clicked in afternoon

                    Hey Mzee... Your solution worked.Thanks

However, I have noticed a squeaking noise now and assume that it's from the front wheel. Can few drops of oil fix it?

Or is it pssible that the noise is from somewhere else....fairing maybe??

Why you removed HID ? Any battery draining issue with HID ?

Hey, There is no battery drain issue when you install HID.

Why did I remove it? It is because my HID bulb stopped working all of a sudden in one ride and I did not want to invest again in HID. A HID costs 2 - 2.5K with ballast so add that to the cost of projector and budget stretches to almost 5 to 5.5K and chances of HID going bad is moderately high.

I used HID for almost 8 months before I finally changed to 55w halogen bulb. I don't mind going for HID again in future but as of now I can't afford it.

Yes; it looks good...the main problem with ZMR is you cannot have a tyre greater to 110...

otherwise there are lot more tyres with good grips...but all mostly in 120/130...i wish HM have given more space to accumulate higher tyres...

                            Hi sachin,

Do you think halogen will fair equally bad in rain and fog like HID or it will be better..

Halogen bulb light is better in Rain/Fog....except for Blue light bulbs...

HID i think does not provide a better light in Rain/fog if Bulb color temperature is above 6000K...lesser to 6000K will work in rain/fog.....may be i am wrong...other owners can explain on this...

                              • Hi Guys,

Currently having RTR 160 carb and Yezdi classic 250, I've been commuting/ touring on both the bikes, riding on RTR for more than 4 years i found it is great bike (apart from vibes) for commuting in the city traffic, however i am looking out for my machine which can be ideal for touring then commuting.

Since last couple of weeks I've been reading all the posts/ reviews regarding ZMA-R/ ZMR, P220 and RE TBTS which is making me more and more dazed, to avoid any further confusion I decided to TYPE a query here

I am thinking to go for Karizma, however still bit confused whether it is ZMA-R or ZMR.

                                Priorities:
FE, Riding posture, pillion comfort along with the saddlebags, VFM etc.

Please help me to choose my ride wisely.

                                Cheers,
                                Amogh.
