You can increase the amount of fuel injected by making the In let air temperature sensor give reading of cold intake, or make the O2 sensor give a reading of more Oxygen, by interfering with the signal...which is what I guess the device shown does...

I am also using Sirac Street 100/90-18 tyres on my ZMR but i am using them with Tube. I agree this is the best tyre for ZMR. Lot better grip when compared to stock tyres. I dont have any issue with Tyre pressure reducing.

I got the tyre from authorized michelin dealer and he told me that this tyre can't be used as Tubeless. So he advised me to put the tube.

May be since you are using it as Tubeless air pressure may be reducing fast.

                  • Problem with the fuel injection

                    Hi guys,

Just completed 10000kms. These days the Fi indicator lights on after starting the bike everytime and i have to pull the throttle to get rid of it or the bike gets off. Although my default rpm is set on 1400 rpm as per the manual.

Could anyone please let me know if this is a serious problem.

                    Thanks

Please take your bike to ASC... the FI light should not be on once the bike has started... if it is on it means their is some issue with FI or other sensors... better take it to ASC..

                            • ZMR Riding Tips for a novice biker

                              Hi Xbhpites,

I got a white ZMR for myself in Nov 2011 and glad that I made the right choice after some serious thinking. This is my first bike and prior to this, I had never ever rode a bike. Now, I have learned to ride on my ZMR and have completed 250 kms in 2 months....I know that's very less, but m happy as they are without any mishaps & issues...Thank God .

Please share the best riding tips to ride a Zmr. (In City & On Highway).

                              - I wish to know the best practices while riding and tips to keep myself
and my ZMR in the best condition on and off-road.
                              - I m also planning to have a mumbai -pune road trip by end of jan
(Its further ahead from pune : Total distance is approx 230-240 kms).
                              - Should I go for this trip or give myself some more time and kms?
                              - Will my new zmr's engine be ready for this?
                              - How to prepare for this ride If I plan to go for it?
                              - How to take care of my bike during this ride?
                              - Best tips to carry a pillion rider and backpacks.
                              - ZMR Speed range for each gear i.e the higher speed limit to shift next
                              top gear.
                              - Anything that you seem is important for a novice rider like me.

Give the bike more time... let the run-in period be completed... to ride a bike on NH4 highway will make you kill yourself... coz even if you wish you cant go for full throttle
                                - Will my new zmr's engine be ready for this?
It is always... it is built to cruise but you have to keep it till 60 kmph which is quite boring on highway.. so avoid
                                - How to prepare for this ride If I plan to go for it?
riding gear... papers... oil check... air pressure check... and you are good to go

                                - How to take care of my bike during this ride?
just relax and let the bike cruise

                                - ZMR Speed range for each gear i.e the higher speed limit to shift next

Find it yourself... that the best way to learn your bike and understand it
                                - Anything that you seem is important for a novice rider like me.
I completed my run-in on National Highway from Pune - Jalgaon -Pune... and believe me its not fun to keep it below 60 on National Highway .. so complete the run-in in city and then head out..
The flipside is...during the run-in on highway i was able to maintain it constantly around 60 with occasional bursts.. that has helped me in long run now...

so you decide... if you can maintain the break-in conditions a ZMR can easily do Mumbai Pune anyday.. anytime..
