Had last (sixth) free service today... I remember last time I had to go to service station at 8 a.m. in morning to get back my babe on time... Today I got late due to some reasons thought will request them to give delivery next day early in the morning but to my surprise they promised to give back bike at 3 p.m. same day (I got to service station at 12:45 p.m.)...
While chatting with the job card guy, he told that they have recruited few more guys to improve serviceand the process is not over yet... their target is to give back bike within an hour after servicing... Now that's pleasant surprise... Hope it's same all over the country

Is this vibration thingy happenning due to vibration of the fairings or is it coming form the engine itself? I don't see any ZMA-R owners complaining about vibrations, is it because of the half fairings do not cause any vibrations in the foor pegs, tank, handle bar, etc.. I'm totally fed up with this vibrations, to make it worse fairings make a huge rattling noise now, ASC ppl completely dismantled the fairings and reassmbled them with utmost care but still rattling is same..
So are the fairings the culprit for the vibrations OR the engine make a hell lot of vibrations??

Mahindra get your bike to ASC & ask them to fix vibrations if they are unable then go to another ASC , there must be some rubber packing missing causing vibrations for you as there are no vibrations in my bike on any rpm .Originally posted by Mahindra View Postyeah sometimes i hate the bike in traffics

Well i think majority would disagree ... at least i do... above 7K rpm the rear footpegs... handle bar do vibrate a lot on any gear.......Originally posted by Above_All View Postthere are no vibrations in my bike on any rpm .WARNING!! Objects seen in Mirror are Disappearing Rapidly!!!!!!

Every Karizma be it ZMA/ZMR has the vibes issue, not only fairing but also footpegs, saree guard, grab rail etc. Using 10W30 you dont notice it and it rarely happens beyond 7k, but with 20w40 and some quick acceleration its noticeable throught the RPM range. Dont consider this as a complaint, cause its a longstroke engine and its supposed to behave that way, if ya dont trust me then ride an enfield beyond 60Kmph with quick acceleration or ride an R15 post 8k in lower gears, normally in R15 no- one notices this cause by the time they reach the 6th cog the vibes reduce and not only that they rarely reach 8k.Originally posted by Dan_GP View PostIs this vibration thingy happenning due to vibration of the fairings or is it coming form the engine itself? The only remedy for the fairing rattling is to take it apart and double tape it, I've done it on my ZMA, and works like a charm.
Sorry to inform you but thats impossible, to achieve zero vibrations then you'd have to accelerate real slow, even then the resonance frequencies would kick in.Originally posted by Above_All View Postthere are no vibrations in my bike on any rpm .Motorcycling Experience:

It costed 150 rs and is valid for 3 years including accidental insurance of 1,00,000/- valid for 1 year...Originally posted by Above_All View PostHow much it costed ? Is it for 5 years as picture is not clear . And how to add points of servicing & spare purchased ? Can we add point ourself or dealers only .
Show the bill at good life desk and they'll swipe the card in their keyboard (with in-built card swapper or whatever it's called
) and add points...

Maybe you too got vibrations but i haven't seen any in my bike yet , any plan of jal/dhule you can check itOriginally posted by siddharth_ZMR View PostWell i think majority would disagree ... at least i do... above 7K rpm the rear footpegs... handle bar do vibrate a lot on any gear.......
May be you are right also with that theory explained but i don't have any vibrations in footpegs or in fairing while driving .Originally posted by ashwinprakas View PostEvery Karizma be it ZMA/ZMR has the vibes issue, not only fairing but also footpegs, saree guard, grab rail etc. Using 10W30 you dont notice it and it rarely happens beyond 7k, but with 20w40 and some quick acceleration its noticeable throught the RPM range. On doing redlining i found very little vibrations on 4 th gear only ,Check my earlier post http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/motorcyc...tml#post704164Last edited by Above_All; 01-03-2012, 12:42 AM.

Yeah, you are absolutely correct, being a long stroke engine, ZMR should get vibrations, correct, but why the intensity is high?Originally posted by ashwinprakas View PostEvery Karizma be it ZMA/ZMR has the vibes issue, not only fairing but also footpegs, saree guard, grab rail etc. Using 10W30 you dont notice it and it rarely happens beyond 7k, but with 20w40 and some quick acceleration its noticeable throught the RPM range. Anyways, I'm kind of happy to know that other ZMA/ZMR also has vibrations, so then I have to live with them, havent I?
But bro, I don't understand your querry regarding the oil grade.. I thought the xW40 reduces vibrations than the xW30
And even I accelerate very sedately, slowly, I still get the same intensity of vibrations. So can you please explain the logic behind your idea
And just for the record, I use 10W40 fully synthetic, but I felt absolutely no difference regarding the vibes!

I would like to know what exactly have you done to your ZMR to have such a smooth refined engine without vibes?? I think you also used to get all the vibes we are reffering here, didn't you??

No bro i haven't done any special thing to engine , & from day 1 i don't have any vibrations , but i am worried about them when while replacing my tank they removed fairing , but no problem after remounting , then untill now my fairing is several time removed for various purposes but nothing like vibrations .Originally posted by Dan_GP View Post^^^Above_All^^

The issue's i have is engine heat up , engine noise but now after replacing cam shaft & rocker arm no noise , & engine won't get that much hot & cool down fastly ( may be due to winter ) . When i put bike on center stand & allow it to be ideal then the rvm's vibrates little but i found these on other bikes too .
It is same which i previously pm'ed you & called from it when i was in pune . If you haven't saved it or deleted then will send you againOriginally posted by siddharth_ZMR View PostPlease PM your no. i will coming to Jalgaon this weekend..

Replies in BOLD.Originally posted by Dan_GP View PostYeah, you are absolutely correct, being a long stroke engine, ZMR should get vibrations, correct, but why the intensity is high?
Long stroke engines vibe hard when accelerated hard, so to reduce vibes, just accelerate gently.
Anyways, I'm kind of happy to know that other ZMA/ZMR also has vibrations, so then I have to live with them, havent I?
Yes, but as I said above, you can reduce them.
But bro, I don't understand your querry regarding the oil grade.. I thought the xW40 reduces vibrations than the xW30
30 or 40, its not magic, its just oil, and in their own temp regions they behave the same, 30 vibes at higher RPM or when engines real hot where as 40 vibes if the bikes revved up without warming up. But when in their own ZONES they perform the exact same.
And even I accelerate very sedately, slowly, I still get the same intensity of vibrations. So can you please explain the logic behind your idea
If you accelerate gently and still get the vibes then it could either be knocking from engine being lean or it could just be the resonance frequencies, cause you can reduce the rest but you can never get away from resonance frequencies, take the washing machine for example, at first when it starts there are no vibes, then it reaches a mid point where there's a hell lot of vibes, then it reaches full speed where again there are no vibes.
But resonance frequencies change depending on how you ride the bike, during my run-in I use'd to rip till 5.5K and later on I noticed that till 5.5K bike was ok, but at 6.XXK the resonance frequency kicks in. But nowadays I ride at 3~4K and have multiple resonance frequencies at 4~4.5K and 5.5~6.5K and above 7k it just vibes till redline.
And just for the record, I use 10W40 fully synthetic, but I felt absolutely no difference regarding the vibes!
10W40's the best of both worlds. And synthetic oil behaves differently in different bikes, in some the engine behaves refined, where as in others it just makes the bike vibe more.

Some people have more tollerance, In the begining I didnt notice it, but once my friend told me and whole riding I just put my hand on the grab rail and it was there.Motorcycling Experience:
