adding KN filter alone won't help you increase the bikes potential.. you will have to change the silencer too.. because KN filters allow more air to pass into the cylinder and the stock silencer won't be sufficient enough to exhaust away all the intaken air and so without a new exhaust, your bike will be loud but performance would degrade..

Yesterday [MENTION=32908]AmoghDox[/MENTION] and I met and went to Nana Peth to do some accessories shopping for our ZMRs. He got a cushioned seat cover applied and then we went for to get some stickering done on the rims.
Amogh obviously went for a red sticker, which looked so perfect on his black ZMR that it was hard to believe it wasn't stock!
I, however, was in two mind regarding the choice of color. I had white in mind all the time, but after seeing the red one on Amogh's bike I finally went for red only.

After that, Amogh left for his solo ride to Mumbai, and I went to looking for a Philips X-treme Vision, to upgrade my headlight to. I got it for Rs 600, and got it installed today, along with the LED pilot lamps I had purchased from eBay earlier.

Here's how it looks...





The bulb surely justifies it's rather high price!
Here are some snaps showing the illumination before and after the upgrade, on a totally pitch black patch of road.

Some observations:
1. The headlight replacement process is way more simpler than I thought it'd be. The mechanic didn't open the fairing completely, and just removed the black plastic parts around the instrument console. Next time I'm surely going to do it myself Rs 100 wasted
2. I don't know if it's the geometry of the bulb, or the alignment got changed during the bulb replacement, but the light throw is more downwards now, and the difference between the high and low beams are not as pronounced as earlier. Need to investigate on this, and will see if the beam level adjustment screw helps.
3. There's a very low, almost inaudible hum coming when I switch on the LED pilot lamps with ignition on and engine stopped. It's inaudible with a running engine. [MENTION=41586]Divya Sharan[/MENTION], or others, have you ever heard this sound? Is this a reason for concern?

Nice meaningful upgrade! Does the sound keep coming continuously? Or only for 2-3 sec when the ignition is switched on? Because it might be that you're hearing the pump starting up.

Yes, I verified it today. It buzzes/hums even with the lights off, and stops after a few seconds. So I'm guessing it's just the fuel pump like you said, but I'm surprised I never heard it before! :what:

BTW, rest assured, its normal on all Honda PGM Fi equipped bikes.

Its normal with all FI.. Even my i10 and my Merc makes that sound once i turn on the ignition.. by the way. I love that sound.. hehehe

Completed 1000 kms yesterday, it took long time of 21 days to complete the running period phew! finally yesterday I was able to cruise between 95kmph to 110kmph few occasional bursts on 120kmph on NH4.





went to MSH54 old matheran road with few buddies from mumbai and camped there in open air near northen western side of matheran,





One more thing I've noticed, engine felt bit harsh, vibration do come post 5 or 6 k range, also was able to hear tik tik notice from engine belly not quiet sure it was tappet noise or something else, it did disappear in between but was it again reappeared but it didn't appear today, what it could be?
