Sure enough it was Nissin with Model no and Nissin etched correctly, but the pad material was not the same. I guess these people get the original worn pads and just stick the pad material and sell it off , as OE replacement.
So please be careful while purchasing the Brake pads with Nissin markings
Wooo!! What the hell?? People finding all methods to cheat. Sad to see the state of our country
Just now changed my brake pads of r15.. Cost 1100/- at svc. I hope svc's get genuine parts :/

I am using this for quite a long time, very handy indeed though I replaced the electrical handle with a non electrical hard handle. Also I keep the 4mm, 6mm allen wrench in this box along with some spare nuts. wrapped it in a leather pouch so it doesn't make any noise, fits quite comfortably beneath the seat. Bought it for 150 bucks and sure VFM. The make is of taparia so no worries about the quality.

The logo on the box looks same as of Hindustan Petroleum, only P is replaced with T. So no talk of OE here

Thanks for warning us on fake Nissin brake pads. Did you get Shriram Alpine brake pads ? How much does it costs and where to buy? Does the quality at par with OE Nissin?

Has anyone fitted Osram's Night Racer 35/35w & if so does this improve the light throw ?

The Shriram Alpine brake pads are available in Chennai . Costs varies from 140~125, but they don't score the disc like the RTR pads. They are not equal to Original Nissin, but brakes good enough .Better than RTR pads in the long run..

My LED pilot bulb had lost a few LEDs of late. Hence got new projector type T10 LEDs off Ebay.

              They look like this.

Please do share the eBay Link!

Is their performance as good as their looks? I was thinking of swapping the stock headlight as soon as i get the bike with night breaker. But this is really awesome!

BTW, I'm planning to book my ZMR tomorrow

Thanks bro. I have Osram NB headlamps too. The angel eye ring was bought off Ebay too, sadly that seller no longer exists. The pilot lamps are here - http://www.ebay.in/itm/251373317829?...84.m1439.l2649

Hey Divya, I have some questions, which may come up as stupid ones, but I'd really appreciate if you answer them:

                    1. So , are you saying that your main headlamp is still an Osram NB? From your snaps I thought you are having a projection headlamp setup. If not, can the Angel Eye LED Ring be made out when the main headlamp is turned on?
                    2. How did you install this? Did you have to cut/modify the reflector or headlamp assembly?
                    3. Did you DIY or is this a professional work?
                    4. Won't this totally void the warranty?

A detailed info would be really helpful!

                      1. No projectors/HID. Simple 55w halogens Osram NB setup.
                      2. No cutting involved. Just open up the front glass and fix the angel eye ring. Connection taken from pilot lamps. http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/motorcyc...-zmr-1109.html
                      3. DIY all the way.
                      4. Absolutely. 55w bulbs and LED pilots are ok, but angel eye would definitely kill the warranty. My bike would be 3 years old in Jan, hence it's out of warranty already.

What is the price of the Osram NB? I bought a Tata Nano cover for my bike today as bike covers are of no use. I noticed absolutely genuine Philips Xtremevision & Osram NB (H4) for Rs.110 & Rs.120/- resp. Are they genuine? Also, the packaging was flawless. Looked like genuine to me.

I think Phillips Xtreme vision and Osram's Nightbreaker both 55/60w comes as pair and costs Rs.1000+ per pair.

But there is Osram's Night Racer 35/35w which costs some 535/- single bulp.
