stick to stock mrf for front tyre... dont go for duro

rear i still suggest Pirelli sport demon,, grip on par with m45 but perhaps wont last as long as m45.. though 15k kms is good life i guess for Pirelli

        • Also remember guys,, after few months you wont even get pirelli sport demon,,so its better to buy now... perhaps thats reason why the price is high......

since mrf lobbied government to make all tyres to be sold with ISI mark and m45 and pirelli sportdemon manufacturing companies wont spend money to get ISI mark... so m45 stopped and so would sport demon

              • Might be a little off, but why dont you give Dunlop Monster a try. The reason am recommending it is cause for a while been looking out for ultra soft compound tyres for some serious cornering action and just like everyone my first choice was PSD but the cost of rear alone was close to 4k so left that idea, then one of my friend owning a ZMA has just swapped his rear(alone) with a Dunlop Monster and asked me to see if they were any good, and surprisingly the grip was like way way better than my stock setup, the reason am saying this is cause, during emergency stops I dont use the rear, I only use the front combined with engine braking and in my ZMA, usually by the time I shift from 2nd to 1st the rear wheel locks up i.e even with the blip technique, and I've also gotten used to it, but on my friends bike it didnt happen, the bike just came to an instant halt.

So I'd suggest you look into the above tyres as well. I've already planned on getting them, now just looking for a suitable front tyre, since they say its recommended to change both the front and rear at the same time.

There's a guy in our college whose got a P220 and FZ16 and on both ride's he's using PSD and for the past 1.5 Years he's using them, so am definitely sure they last more than 4k. Cause the guy hails from TVM and thats like more than 75Kms ride(single side) from our college, hope you get the point.

Nope I dont mean 4K, I believe its way above that. Cause as I said before a guy travelling 75+Kms single side through mixed terrains and that too for over 1.5years, definitely means above 4k kms.

                      OT-
He goes home once a week, the rest time he keeps his ride in the hostel for petty ride's I assume, so that means in a week he travels 150+Kms(To home and back.) then a minimum of 20Kms for other errands while at hostel. So that makes 170Kms for a week. That means he's done a total of 12240Kms(i.e even after taking bare minimum calculations) in the last 1.5 Years, and since he's got 2 rides lets divide the mileage by 2, resulting in 6120Kms per ride, and yet on both ride's the tyres look like they've only been used for 30~40% max, so in short they can easily withstand 12K Kms for sure.

I know it'd be easier for me to directly approach him and enquire but he's a senior and you guys know about college politics dont ya.

Lol, that'd be impossible without my knowledge, since I drool over them every day during lunch break. And the funny thing I noticed is that even though its a soft compound tire, there are'nt even minor chicken strips, HECK!!! Even my hard compound stock MRF's got chicken strips.
