You are right it is one of the best bike for touring, i have already completed around 15000 km of touring on my ZMR, i have not complaint about ZMR regarding its touring capacity, no back pain , no sluggish feeling while riding, but yeah there is a issue of vibrations in fairing, it is smoother while touring... so i am too facing with the same problem..... just need some good SVC centre to rectify the issue.

Faring vibrations in my bike are around 60 to 65 kmph speed only... Beyond that it's again vibe free... As Dhiraj said there are no vibrations while touringOriginally posted by Dan_GP View PostThanks everyone for your views about the vibrations
Well, I haven't remove fairings till now, all are factory fitted, and also lubricated the chain very well, but still the vibrations are unbearable.
Thought this is the BEST refined bike around, reviews say that too continuously..
I cannot figure out why ZMR vibrates, I am hoping to tour a lot and that is why I bought this bike. Even my friend Pulsar 220 is way smoother, but in a different manner of course.. And also quality comes in too..(ZMR=best quality feeling)
But still has a feeling that after running in, after 2000 odd kms, bike would be more smoother and more refined. Still believe that this is the best refined bike, irrespective of the vibrations, and would stay with me 5 years at least, with all the long, really long tours that I am going to go.
(^^psr, I'd greatly appreciate your views)

.
Hey guys today i am searching for the EXIDE MF ( Maintenance Free ) BATTERY which comes with our bike to install in scooty , both exide dealers here told me the battery is not available for sale in market it only comes with ZMR factory fitted , & if your ZMR battery will gone then you too have to switch to the watered general exide batteries available. Cause you won't get that MF battery
Is it true
Is anyone found that MF battery in market ?

Thanks broOriginally posted by Above_All View PostAvailable at SVC here when i visited last. Next week i am going there will confirm it . BTW which one you need ? White or Black ?
. I need the black one. Actually its not for the ZMR, its for the CBR250R. Mine has broken due to a fall. so no spares available for the CBR rite now. when i had a small research i found only the ZMR's mirror bracket suits the CBR's
. I somehow arranged the right side but no left side available
.

The ZMA-R, ZMR and Honda CBR250 all use the Exide battery type ETZ-7 which is a 6 ampere MF battery..You can try fitting Amaron 9 AH with the old ZMA battery cage.Originally posted by Above_All View PostHey guys today i am searching for the EXIDE MF ( Maintenance Free ) BATTERY which comes with our bike to install in scooty , both exide dealers here told me the battery is not available for sale in market it only comes with ZMR factory fitted , & if your ZMR battery will gone then you too have to switch to the watered general exide batteries available. I wont agree with this point man, the bike is really bad in crosswinds (Heavy ones like you face on highways in monsson)!
This I would call rather a makeup and a bad one with the dynamics screwed! All the wise men of the world are called wise only after they spoke their mind, so dont keep the ideas to yourselves!

I totally agree to this, bike does give you negative vibes when in crosswinds, i experienced a lot of crosswinds when i was touring on the coastal NH-17, there the crosswinds are quite bad as road widening is in progress and no trees to block the oncoming sea wind.Originally posted by rakesh_zmr View Post

I wasn't able to ride with any peace of mind unless ridding below 60-65
but the bike is excellent when the wind hits you head-on, no complaints at all here, even without leaning

I have experienced the worse crosswind when i was returning to mumbai from pune at lonavala. When we touch the expressway as soon as we exit from lonavala. the wind was so strong it is taking me and bike to one side, i have to stop and wait for sometime, though after 5 minutes i ride with a speed of 20kmph, then also i am feeling strong crosswind. that was my first and the worse experience of crosswind with ZMR. though all fully faired bikes have crosswind problems.Replace the words "I have to" with "I choose to" and notice the difference in how you feel.

Go for the ZMA-R it is VFM...and you can remove the lower fairing in ZMA-R and drive happily through cross winds, tail winds, and also winds opposing you.Originally posted by ravithacker2789 View PostTHE PRICE DIFFERNCE BW KARIZMA R AND ZMR IS 20 K. The ZMR fairing brings down an otherwise Good bike...who knows without it the FE and performance will still be better than what it is now.Last edited by psr; 07-21-2011, 07:02 PM.When Was The Last Time,You Did Something For The First Time.

Sorry for my incomplete post..I meant aerodynamic through the wind(front facing) not from side facing crosswind.I too faced extreme crosswinds especially on flyovers. But i guess its the expected behavior of every fared bike.I felt same on R15 and even on R1.Originally posted by rakesh_zmr View PostI wont agree with this point man, the bike is really bad in crosswinds (Heavy ones like you face on highways in monsson)!

Seen Amaron 9 AH ( its written 9L ) is bigger i don't think it will fit in the Scooty ES .
ZMR is improved version of Karizma. Karizma is lovely bike both R & ZMR . ZMR has many improved things like digital console , pgm fi , sensors as stated by vvijkumar .Originally posted by ravithacker2789 View PostTHE PRICE DIFFERNCE BW KARIZMA R AND ZMR IS 20 K. And yes the cross wind issue there as it is in all fully faired bikes.
The same issue in Karizma-R too but as psr said you can remove lower fairing, but i don't think its a good idea ! Killing the beautiful look of Karizma
I recommand you ZMR
