Many times the rear tyre has danced even on a straight road at 50kmph even ven i was not braking... lost confidence in them coz of tht,... this also might be the reason for me feeling tht they arent gud for ghats...
bt i got the same input from many xbhpians...

Maybe first you should do wheel alignment, drive at 50 kmph again and feel the difference... If not satisfied then go for sirac... Or else changing tyre alone would not solve the problem...

checked the alignment... its correct....... driving in dry gives entirely different grip level.... so sirac is the option it seems

          • Today i setup a oil cooler cover of P220 into ZMR.....

Below is an p220 oil cooler cover...

Oil Cooler of ZMR after clean with toothbrush...

            After setup...

The difference between screw holes in cover is low as compared to ZMR..so i have just hold it with one screw and add a double sided tape in upper and lower portion of cover to avoid any sound during ride if it touch with other parts ...Cost of cover is 46 Rs...

              I don't brake rules , I merely test their elasticity ;)

Nice work done. But what is the need of oil cooler cover ? Is it added for no worry about pressure wash ? Isn't it reduce the cooling ability of oil cooler ?

If the cooler got hot then isn't it burn out the tape ?

Oil Cooler fins needs to be taken care...it can be easily damage by any of a idiot person...

I read some of the post here that service engineer in SVC has damage ZMR oil cooler fins...to avoid any such things i put on a cover.

In my ZMR too some of fins are bend...may be during services...

As for the heat, i have taken care of space with oil cooler and cover...in fact there will be space automatically as cooler screws have a rubber to hold it...

And yes it will kill the battery .

                          • Done 1st service at 502kms. After the oil change, gears became a little smooth and a little easy to find the nutral. But still most of the time gears are hard. Odo is now 680Kms.

Got all the bolts connectet to fairing tied. No signifcant vibrations now, but a little sound coming out near the head light assembly. Im sure it is not from the numberplate assembly coz I have removed the num plate assembly and checked, and the sound was there. It is like a noise from a loose nut impacting with a steel. Cannot find where it comes from.

And my complaint about vibrations is still there. They are not coming from the fairings nor from the chain. They are from the engine. At about speed of 50 mph vibrations start to creep in and stay there as far as I go. Footpegs, tank and everything vibrate except the fairing and handles.

Is this normal for a new ZMR? Well, I was going to buy a CBZ but bought this because this was the best package and cirtainly not for these vibrations thingy.. Am I need to be worrying about my decision??

Hello friend , i don't know where they will be available in mumbai . They come with PHILIPS HID Kit , the shop owner here gave me from the HID kit & there is no price printed on it but i managed it in 50 rupees as i purchased an halogen also. So i am not sure for its price also. As Lokesh aka veryhiphop also want it i am contineously following the shop owner for it . Untill now he hasn't got it , will check him again , if there it is available i will purchase 1 for veryhiphop & 1 for you too.

Strange , untill now i haven't found anyone complaining about vibration from engine. As i know ZMR engine is not in rubber fitting so there will be no vibration excepted from engine. Its something unexcepted in your bike , check it completely at Hero Honda Authorised Service Center .
And about your decision of buying ZMR than other's its completely your. So it's also again your decision to worry or not. But none i know got vibration from engine from the first start of ZMR @ delivery

Exact same thing used to happen with me too... SVC guy told it was because of sensors and all.. I know it wasn't true but couldn't argue with him.. Gradually the sound disappeared automatically.. Done 5000 kms... Hopefully same case may happen with you..
