        • Its my pleasure to join this group officially ..I have received my ride on tuesday.

I have went through previous posts which is very informative, thank you all for sharing your knowledge.

During the running period, sticking to 40km and below 4k rpm for the first 500km. Please correct me if I am wrong. It very hard to maintain this speed limit, below 4k RPM is fine. Sometimes I am feel like the engine is calling for more food.

The gears, really its hard to find neutral and shift gears(its normal as i read previously).
Did about 50km, had engine halt (or suffocation kind of effect as if the petrol knob is turned is off) two times, is it normal?? Was moving on the third gear.
This happened while I was riding to home from showroom, after 5 km and today after returning from office, after 2km.
It took me 3-5 minutes to turn on the engine.

Battery is ok, cold start was fine on the morning. Any guesses what might be the reason. If this happens once more I am going to the SVC.
          Cheers!!!

            • ZMR rear tyre

              ZMR rear tyre are 100/90-18...
MRF guy told me that i can try Zapper Q 120/90-18. It would provide better grip.

Is he correct? is the tyre good? any adverse effect on acceleration, top speed and mileage?
Zapper Q is also available in 100/90-18 and 110/90-18

              Regards,
              Sid

                  • u just need to remove the chain cover, yesterday at SVC i saw one ZMR with Dunlop Duro 140 Rear tyre, he removed the chain cover... and no more modifications..
Replace the words "I have to" with "I choose to" and notice the difference in how you feel.

You can also have an open chain cover, if it need a cut for tire movement then can be done..as they made of plastic...

Well i am not much in favour of open chain cover or cut one... so lets put 120 out of question... is Zapper Q in 100/90-18 a good tyre? Cost mentioned is 2250INR

                        • 110/90-18 is the optimal size for Karizma,120 is an overkill.Heard that Zapper Q has less grip in wet.

It's better to keep it closer to the stock size. 110/90 should be best.

I would think Pirelli Sports Demon 110/90 is apt for ZMR. Though it costs a bit more. Else, try for M45 100/90, you'll not be disappointed. I'm sure many would agree. I'm trying to source one for my bike.

                              M45 4.0 * 18 is 110/90-18 in actual world.
