        • Happy independence day

Firstly, I would like to Wish all fellow Xbhpians a very very Happy Independence Day

Now coming to my problem , there are few scratches on the tank area and few on rear cowl . Some are visible and some are not . There is a minor dent on right side of the tank which is hardly visible . I came across a product on ebay . It is spray paint for bike . I contacted the seller and asked if he had the paint for Pearl White ZMR . He replied that he don't have Pearl white paint for ZMR but he has pearl white for Yamaha bikes . He also added it won't be a problem if i use it . Guys I want to know from you , should i go for it ?
because here paint touchup is very costly (3 local bike painters quoted around 1000/- ) . also please tell me how can i get rid of that small tank dent ??
          I don't brake rules , I merely test their elasticity ;)

Look the thing about touch up painting is that its very tricky, plus AFAIK the yamaha white is much different from the ZMR one, its more matte'ish in it's finish, also if you get the touch up wrong it shall look like an odd, ugly patch, what you could probably try as an alternative would be to try covering it (the scratches) up with some nice vinyl, i too had some scratches on my right side fairing and i got it beautifully covered with a vinyl, it blends in perfectly too...

tank dents are tough to remove, so the best solution would be to cover it up with something, removing the dent means hammering which in return means paint peel off , which means you are not going to be happy

the local painters have quoted that much cause, for blending reasons, they have to paint more than just the scratched area

              • Hmmm, came from a 460km ride. Well, I'm not really impressed at all.

Vibrations do creep in anything beyond 55kmph, I don't understand why? Footpegs, handlebars, pillion footpegs, rvms all vibrate. Not heavy vibrations, but to some extent. And they stay as long as I go. Hmmm... Why ZMR vibrating like this. Utterly dissapointed I expected a smooth engine.

Bike is done 2260km till now. Never crossed 50kmph till first 500kms and not 60kmph till I went for the ride, and during the ride I kept her below 60kmph most of the time, 3 times went till 97, 98kmph and didnt stay there came back to the normal speed. So I guess running in is OK.

Above 4K I feel the engine is stressed too. Going to the 2nd service in few days.

Guys, I need honest answers from you, Do you feel the same way abot the vibrations of ZMR?? I need to clarify coz I have a lot of faith on this bike, really..

I am also waiting for my second service done around 1600kms... U r right abt the vibrations and handle bar and footpegs at speeds above 80km/hr. 60-80 its very very smooth and I dont feel engine is getting stressed.
I drove it once around 100 it was nice... but yeaf footpegs do vibrate at those speeds and also at very low speed around10-30 somewhere in body there u can feel some vibrations. But to be honest we are just beeing to harsh on the bike.. it cant be an idle machine. but yeah uts better then bajaj engine in comparision to engine noise and vibrations.

Bravo Bravo lets give some more time to this bike

speed thrills but kills if you dont have skills
