What is the usual max speeds that you can do on each gear?

    I usually do

    0-10: 1st gear
    10-20: 2ng gear
    20-30: 3rd gear
    30-40: 4th gear
    above 40: 5th gear

Is that ok? Or should I change it a bit??

          • Hi! zmr owners. I have a zma-r and i am interested in fixing the rear zmr discs. From the looks of it i feel its possible but i dont know of anyone who has attempted this.
Disk, caliper, rear alloy and brake pedal are direct fits. I need idea how to mount the rear master cylinder.
Can someone list me exactly which parts needs to be purchased for this mod and an approx price so that i can do a direct fit.

Guys need your expert inputs on this so i can go ahead.

I have done this thing for once or twice. But something is odd. I mean bike just give up after 40kmph in the second gear. SVC guy says, its normal as the wear and tear of the engine have started. And also when i tried this thing the bike was totally smooth like butter. No vibes and all at that time.

That is pure BS. There are many people who have been riding there karizmas and ZMR in a harsh manner. Most of the Indian riders do give enough stress on their bikes, be it platina, passion, R15 or Karizma. That doesn't mean the engine succumbs to to it that too for a reasonable new bike! I'm surprised with their reasoning. Ask them the technical reason buddy..

It is possible but would be a costly affair. someone in this thread has done so if i can remember, try searching.

                        2 reasons come up

                        1. Petrol adulteration

                        2. value clearance was not done properly earlier...

Will be going this weekend again for inspection then will discuss with manager as he still in training..

Usually I change the gear when I feel the engine is loaded.. For example if you are on 2nd gear and rev upto 35-40 then you get a hint that the engine is getting overloaded and you change the gear! Atleast for me that is how it works.

BTW I have a small query here.

ZMR reaches 0-60 in around 3.7 sec. How exactly is that value calculated?
