I still did not install it bro. The mech is busy. Not getting the time. Thought of removing and fixing myself but I never removed fairing before and do not have the tools also

          Hello fellas,

Doomed before an important ride, I am desperately looking for the best solution for a dent in my ZMR's rear rim.
Went to Hero motocorp authorised service center in Bangalore. Was told that rim needs to be heated, remoulded and repainted, which they don't do.
I need to contact some local mech.

Need you help in figuring out a good wheel alignment option and mechanic in Bangalore for a minor bent in the rear rim.

Anybody got this done before. please share your experience.

          thanks.

Damn I keep forgetting names when most required, but I got the address, there is a tyre guy, he mainly does work on only car tyres but just coax him a little and he should agree.

The place is on the left handside immediately when you take the right turn leading to ashoka pillar from the signal after lal bagh circle. I had got my rim bend fixed from him two years back.

              Hey..thanks for the information.
Today I visited Hero service station, mechanic told me that I have to drop the bike at service station for 15 days as they dont have ignition coil.
he was suspecting from either ignition coil or fuel pump.

is there any way i can find out whether it is fuel pump or ignition coil?

I mean there should be some difference in the way bike behaves, stop, or any other significant difference.

My issue was finally resolved by the manager (Mr. Vinod) at the ASC of Ranjeet Motors at Thane, Maharashtra. Ask your ASC manager to have a word with Mr. Vinod (tell him this was in reference to an issue that he had resolved for a ZMR from Kolkata. I believe he would be able to explain the fault to the ASC guys.

BTW, my ZMR's fuel pump was the culprit. There's a coil inside the fuel pump that goes kaput as and when the heat increases. Cold start is always fine though.

My bike was under warranty, else I could have gone lighter by Rs.11,200/-. I hope this works for you.

Can you please tell me which faulty part you replaced?. fuel pump or ignition coil or both?

my bike starts after 5 minutes. i dont know I have a feeling that fuel pump is fine but coil is bad.

1 more thing, when driving at constant speed(30,40,50 whatever), it feels like power hesitation. like some one is breathing.

it will remain at constant speed, but its like power is going & coming in mili-seconds. I hope I am able to explain the problem.

This further confirms my doubt on a bad fuel pump..

The Ignition coil does not fail like the fuel pump in ZMR .....

I had an issur with the ignition coil wire not connected properly..

The bike behaved almost the same. Except the bike never stopped at particular speeds.. it used to stop at any given speed..

                      It was the fuel pump.

However, I would like to add that ZMR being an ECU-controlled bike, any malfunction in the electronic circuit would have been visible via the error codes on the console. Assured there is no fault with the ignition coil.

Second, let the ASC guys check the ignition coil. They will bang their own heads for sure. Tell them to run thorough circuit checks and not waste fuel from the customer's hard-earned money.

                      Cheers!!
