Well.. we were on this fly over.. almost 4kms stretch with no trucks.. i was chasing the fellow xbhpians on p220 and 200ns.. well.. i started the chase a bit late hoping to catch them.. i picked up speed and after touching 127kmph.. was holding on to the speed for like 15 seconds.. then i slowes down.. some kinda creepy sound from the bike started creeping my head.. i thought i screwed up the pistons.. when we were waiting at the signal, i notices the sound wasnt there and the bike was idling.. glad the sound wasnt there any more.. then once i picked up speed, the sound started annoying me again.. i was sure it wasnt going to harm the bike as it was not related to the engine but something that might have been caused due to the spees after a very long time.

Next traffic signal, i revved to see if the engine was fine. Damn the xbhpians thought i was calling them for a race and they started teasing me.. lol.. the noise wasnt there and this confirmed it was something which needed lubricating..

I couldn't bear that noise it was haunting me.. so after the show was over.. i decided to see whst the sound was but couldn't figure from where it is creeping out.. took it the service center on my way home.. took her in and got the guy to take the bike for a ride.. to my disappointment.. the noise disappeared.. then i told the guy to sit back.. as i rode the bike.. i could hear the sound.. that too with the helmet on.. told him this is the sound.. he said he got it.. we went back to the service center.. he remove the from axle.. removed the speed sensor cable.. cleaned it.. oiled it and fit thw wheel back..

My friend suddenly called and asked me to check up on my other friend who was depressed.. so told the mechanic thanks and i will get back if the issue prevails..

I took my bike and the noise was arrested.. damn.. even such a small extra noise was bugging me to the core.. was happy it wasnt an issue where i had to spend money..

So guys.. if you get any squeaky noise from the front.. this could also be the possible reason.. maybe it has already been shared before.. just in case it hasn't been.. this might help you guys out in future..

won't it be better to get it done every service?? because that sound was annoying.. may not be annoying to a person who doesn't care about the condition of his bike. but for us? it would be, right?? anyways, a lesson learnt that I should get the lubrication done wherever I possibly can

Yes, since you get it "serviced" at the SVC, you can.
I service my bike every 8-10k kms, hence my claim. Rest is just oil change and wash/detail.

Sounak da, it cost me 70 bucks (both wheels included). Any sticker shop would do it. The price ranges from 50 ruppes to 100 rupees in BLR. I found this one good and haggled from 100 rupees to 70. Been using the same for over a year now. Pretty VFM.

Beach Please.. I used to get it for free when I wan in Chennai and yeah.. I said I guess so I am not sure about it I will check and let you know.. it is too common these days so I decided not to get that done..

by the way.. One year back is quite a long time.. even the fuel used to cost somewhere around in mid 60ish

Yes I do it for both wheels at every service at around 2.5K K.M... In my last service I did it with special Gel grease from Castrol... It's really good, used for my car too!!!
