Had Simota for about 12k kms. Acceleration had increased so much that i could smoke p220s with ease. Divya Sharan had ridden it too. Mileage drops a bit. Had faced heating issues and even now, after removal of the filter, am facing the same issue. So the filter was fine. It had no side effects on my bike. The reason why am telling this is cause my bike is running as smoothly as it had run when the bike was new. So i guess the filter has not effected it much.
And remember. Do not go for any other brands apart from cosworth or simota. Cause others have bigger holes to allow more air flow and hence increase in pick up. but over time, these holes become large and allow dust inside the cylinder. And no filter filters as good as the stock filter.

I have seen these type of Allen bolts in my gym and they do hold tight.. But when dropping the heavy weights.. Thisbolt loosens up..

But that's in gym.. For bikes it would be perfect.. But looks odd to me..

I remember talking about this with Divya Sharan, apparently none of them are a direct fit to the fairing... hopefully the new zmr's mirrors don't have this issue but highly doubt it (considering that they didn't even place the rvm during the launch )

Can't one use a thread locker for this purpose? My Hero showroom while delivering seemed to use some thread lockers on the RVM's. & they wer vry vry tight. Didn't loosen. But, when I replaced the right RVM, no thread locker was applied & the RVM was a lil loose than before. Tho they definitely haven't loosened till now.

I fold my mirrors everyday in the office parking lot. They don't come loose.

Hint - Use gear oil and keep them lubricated by the stem. Works wonders!!!

Tried the lubrication, even tried using thicker washers but nothing worked.

P.S : I got no trouble if I want to fix them hard as in, in a manner where they can't be folded, but like you even I need to fold my mirrors on a daily basis and thats something I can't stop doing

Gr8 mod mate ! share us with the feedback after installing,, like is there any drop in pulling power now and any variation in mileage ?!

and moreover cant believe a 120section without any cut in chain cover coz i remember here one of the members had fit in a 110 PSD and found it rubbing with the chaincase and somehow managed to resolve the issue !! so if yu could elaborate us on this aspect of ur mod mate

I tried to contact Mr.Vinod, but Thana Hero guys are jerks. they cannot connect my call to Vinod.

After hearing from you, i read on google, my problem looks like fuel pump problem as suggested by you.
but 1 question arises. why my engine get start after 4-5 minutes if engine goes down due to heating issue in fuel pump?
do you think in 5 minutes, fuel pump can cool down?. fuel pump is inside engine so how can it losses heat in 5 minutes?.full body cowl, no area to evacuate heat.
moreover, on all website related to this topic, it is written that when engine will stop after running for 30 minutes, it will take 20-25 minutes to cool down.

My issue was finally resolved by the manager (Mr. Vinod) at the ASC of Ranjeet Motors at Thane, Maharashtra. Ask your ASC manager to have a word with Mr. Vinod (tell him this was in reference to an issue that he had resolved for a ZMR from Kolkata. I believe he would be able to explain the fault to the ASC guys.

BTW, my ZMR's fuel pump was the culprit. There's a coil inside the fuel pump that goes kaput as and when the heat increases. Cold start is always fine though.

My bike was under warranty, else I could have gone lighter by Rs.11,200/-. I hope this works for you.

Next suspect is the fuel pump only. For running so long i guess it's getting heated and switching off. No other reasons are occuring to me. Is it that when you drive at a particular speed that your engine goes off or is it after a particular time after your engine is on? If its the latter then it has to be the fuel pump.
Others can guide you if am wrong..
Hey.
As i told you, In February this problem occurred when I crossed 100 km/h.
I was driving at 90-95 km/h for very long time, there was no issue. i again crossed 100 km/h, the problem came again.

couple of weeks back, i ride it for 1 hour, nothing happened. as soon I crossed 100, i again faced the problem. so i decided i will not go over 100 km/h

but 5 days back, it was heights, i was riding at 65-70 for just 15 minutes, and bike stopped. then i have to keep it off for 4 minutes. after that it stopped after 4-5 km.

FYI, fuel pump is pretty much outside the engine in all FI bikes. A few have it in the tank, but in ZMR it is on the left side of the fairing. You can see it. Its a cylinder on the left hand side precisely where your thighs lock with the fairing.
