AFAIK it's bad to only mix non mineral derivative FS oil with Mineral oil. @psr sir can throw better light on this matter.

A suggestion from me: before switching over to full synthetic why don't you try using a better mineral oil. Unless you plan to go touring for long time/distance where it shall be difficult to carry additional oil, mineral oil does a great job too.

Agreed the change interval is more frequent but with FS is it worth the extra premium for your regular use, where good mineral oils are available at half the price if not lower. I used to use mobil1, was great but again I used to change it every 3.5k kms, max pushed it to 4k kms once. Mainly liked it as I didn't have to worry about carrying extra oil while touring.

Now I use rimula r4 and I am equally satisfied, I haven't noticed any difference in my ride quality or engine performance. I drain at an interval of 1500-1650 and it's still cheaper than my previous oil while being equally good.

Just my opinion

I just wanted better oil for my engine, because sometimes there is sprinting done(Just to thank god for giving me this beautiful bike) + Have been experiencing some performance issues since the 2nd service.

SVC says the bike is normal/good and no issues with it, but it's the rider that knows about the bike much better.
There was time when the bike used to sprint to 60kmph w/o flicking the eye lid in the second gear (dont know whether anyone tried it or not) with no engine tension experienced with butter smoothness. And now Engine tension is experienced even in reaching 60 on 3rd gear. I Don't know whether the word 'Engine Tension' is appropriate here in this respect or not, but I feel an very very very old engine trying to cope up.
Also it is not like that it does not provide me with high-end performance, but it does. I think normally , my bike tops out around 123/5kmph(That too a blink away from touching red line mark, is this the same case with you too?) . But I feel jealous when people say that they toured on this machine constantly around 100-110kmph for long durations.

Yes, I agree and I have no issues with changing oil around every 2000km, but believe me brother I'd do anything to get that spirit of "Awesome" engine back.
Since you understand my bike situation, i hope you to suggest me in the right direction.

I dont know whether Mohsin Brother is still active here on this forum, but his suggestion and others' would be appreciated too.

Besties,
Neeraj.

What you're referring as engine tension is engine braking coming into play and it is normal. If you do 60 in 3rd gear and leave the throttle it would feel that the bike is pulling back. Its how it is supposed to be!

What I am about to suggest should be highly unlikely but I would still suggest that you check it out.

Have you had a look at your chain sprockets. I know its too early for natural wear but wiyh the sprinting style that you said you ride, there are chances for early sprocket wear. Just have a look at it, anyways won't take too long. If nothing else consider it as a good excuse to lube

Divya Sharan : Yes I know about engine braking, but i never said that i released the throttle after reaching 60, i shifted gears and went forward till 80-90's in 3-4th gear respectively. It was a bliss , when I encountered that much smoothness and performance from this bike. But now it's all history I think.
snehithpereira : Sure, I'll check it out. Is there any guide on this forum to do so? and the way to identify the wear on sprocket. My bike clocked 13000Km(Changed Air Filter+Front Disc Pads) , Now servicing due..

Ehh.. did you get the spark plugs cleaned?? Also the grade of oil matters.. have you been usimg the recommended oil grade..?

Also check the quality of fuel.. try filling fuel from a different gas station..

On the other hand check the sprockets too.. when i say sprockets check both the front and rear..

How about the air pressure?? How often do you get it checked?? This plays a major role in performance as well..

One more thing.. do you still weigh the same as before..?? Just asking because my Black pearl used to do 129 (stock sprockets) when i was 67kgs and now it maxs out at 126.. i weigh 75 now.. and i noticed a little difference in acceleration because of my weight

Brother, you have taken you ZMR beyond the limits, and it could be the clutch plates that usually bear the brunt to save the precious engine. Sprokets come next in the line. Any way, change the engine oil only after the issue is rectified. I hope all's well with your bike.

BTW, I weigh 100, but my ZMR goes past 115 on the highways. Could go beyond, but there's always someone ahead who's driving within the speed limits!!

Spark Checkup at SVC, they say it is in good condition. Engine Oil by HH-H only.

Also check the quality of fuel.. try filling fuel from a different gas station..
Yes I tried that, no effect as such. The only effect was seen was about mileage difference only.

On the other hand check the sprockets too.. when i say sprockets check both the front and rear..
Yea, ofcourse I would love to do that, but need a guide on how to do that.

How about the air pressure?? How often do you get it checked?? This plays a major role in performance as well..
Air Pressure is checked occassionally when felt that is low. But even after filling up air-pressure , not much difference is observed in performance.

One more thing.. do you still weigh the same as before..?? Just asking because my Black pearl used to do 129 (stock sprockets) when i was 67kgs and now it maxs out at 126.. i weigh 75 now.. and i noticed a little difference in acceleration because of my weight.

Yes, Not measured my weight but the top-end remains same when ridden alone, but reduced by 10kmph when a pillion rode with me. I am not concerned about the top-end speed, I am happy that it is close to or crossed the top-speed mentioned on forums(124kmph).
But I am concerned about How my bike reaches there, i.e whether it struggles to reach over 100 or it just go there smoothly, giving the rider a pleasant day.

No issues with my top end spped bro. Even I made a local mech here a check on clutch plate and ride, they say everything is good.

How does your bike feel with the fresh engine oil? I mean right after you change the engine oil and after you complete 100 kms??

i am currently using Rimula R4 from Shell (Diesel Engine Oil) it is doing great, especially on the highways.. but the drain period is 1500 kms for me.. as it gets dark.. the oil grade is 15W40...

I am planning to go for semi synthetic from Veedol.. the one veryhiphop is using and he says it satisfies him...

or the Gulf Pride 4T..

also like what RaajD has said.. it could also mean that the clutch plates are at fault..

My bike is turning 3 on Jan 9th. So you guys can expect a long term ownership report soon. I have clocled 36xxx kms so far, which is fairly ok considering other mango people who do so in 5-6 years.

BTW, my battery, clutch plates, plastics and rear disc pads (there are many more, but these are prominent) are still stock and I guess these would last forever! ha ha!

BTW, my battery, clutch plates, plastics and rear disc pads (there are many more, but these are prominent) are still stock and I guess these would last forever! ha ha!

I have clocked 29500 and would have clocked 30500 if the trip went as planned.. alas it didn't happen.. and my bike will be 4 years old on 24th of Feb and hopefully I will complete 36000 by then if everything goes as planned
