I wudn't mind if they giv some discounts. All we get is a useless Goodlife card.

Would remove harshness from the engine. If clutch plates are burnt, they would need replacement. Get that checked.Originally posted by suraj_waghmare View PostSo changing engine oil will resolve the issue? Which engine oil is recommended?
Yes. Goodlife members get some discount. maybe 5 or 15% I'm not sure. I did not take the membership.Originally posted by red_karizma_zmr View PostDo they giv discounts or not? or they act like lousy tuff assholes.

NO TOP UPS PLEASE!!!
Change ANY mineral oil @ 2k, semi synth @ 3k and fully synth @ 4k kms. This is the max limit. For peace of mind, reduce 500 kms from each.

Remember that the Mineral Oils won't last more than 1500 kms and the HMC's Engine Oils barely last 1200 kms making the engine harsh and uncomfortable to ride...Originally posted by suraj_waghmare View PostNot more than 2month/1500km

Re: Hero Honda Karizma ZMR
Hello All
I have a concern,not sure if this is faced by any I own a ZMR, completed around 18K
this happens only when I go for long rides, when I complete more 60 to 80 K for a drive if i halt at any place the bike just turns off as if I turned off the Ignition (though all the digi Meter console is on its like the engine becomes slow and it turn off if I start the bike and drive its fine
and again if i halt some where the engine goes off, what could be the cause

It is common in carb bikes due to low idling.Originally posted by Parvez Radiowala View PostHello All

Coming to think of it, can the idling be adjusted in zmr easily? Let others answer that. If yes then it maybe that idling gets low in yours.

Re: Hero Honda Karizma ZMR
we don't have an option to adjust the idling in FI engines (as told by the SVC people) when I purchased my Black Pearl in 2010 Feb.. I felt the RPM was too high (1300-1500 RPM).. asked them to adjust it and they said it isn't possible..Originally posted by abhi7013 View PostIt is common in carb bikes due to low idling.

Re: Hero Honda Karizma ZMR
Guys, read someone's message before that his bike is having vibration problem after 80. Actually I am having the exact same issue. The fact is, it is not the speed, it is the engine' RPM which makes this issue. If I ride above 5k rpm, my bike develops vibes in the foot pegs and fairing. This is just because our bikes are made of the CRF230 engine which is bound to work really torquey in the low rpm ranges.
~~~ Not so rev friendly~~~
Still the vibes does not increase much after 80kmph to around 100kmph, but after 105 or something, bike's vibes increase exponentially. (About half of a P220 Vibe, and 1/4th of a RE' vibes at the same speeds)
You guys will also get vibes somewhere near 45-55and that is coz of the engine resonance. If the fairing is kept intact using rubber washers or something, you may feel that the vibes does not exist. But this is not the fact. Vibes are still there, because they are produced by the engine itself, and they are suppressed by the rubber washers.
The best speed of operation of our bike is between 70 - 80 on 5th gear. Completely vibe free, smooth as silk, no heat too.
80 - 100 is also possible if you have made some vibe damper arrangements.
100-125 Only when some showcase guy shows his ass on you and you don't wanna be a poker-face
Re: Hero Honda Karizma ZMR
Hi All,
Need help for selecting tyres for my ZMR. I ride only in the city. Looking for tyres which have excellent dry/wet grip & last a reasonable amount of time (around 12-15k km) without losing grip levels/performance. Looking for tubeless tyres only unless there is no worthwhile option.
After searching through & reading multiple threads & checking out the available options in my city, I have short listed the following:
Front:
1. Zapper P - 90/90 -18
2. Pilot Sporty - 90/90 -18
3. Zapper FS - 80/100 - 18 (Stock tyre)
Rear:
1. Michelin Pilot Sporty - 100/90 -18
2. Zapper Y (Stock)
Pirelli's are not available anywhere. One dealer that I spoke to told me there are tubeless options in Ceat & Continental as well, though he could not tell me the exact model names/numbers & would update in a day or two.
Any suggestions/experiences with the above tyres are welcome. Also, how does the Pilot Sporty fare in comparison to the stock Zappers on the ZMR?
