Yes, this is true.. but how often do we have a good rapport with the SVC folks? very rare, right?

I usually ride at 45-60 kmph.. the damage was because the rickshaw guy came out of nowhere and I hit him face on.. yes.. you are right.. the damage on the bikes seems to be very bad.. fortunately, Had I rode the bike at higher speeds.. I don't think I would have survived.. right? (touchwood)

Yeah. I will get a new helmet and riding bike with a leather jacket when its hot? I have one already.. but I use it during winters..

No evil haunts anyone. Practice some patience on our roads and you should be fine. Save that adrenaline for the open stretches on the highway!

    Take care.
Am sure there was no fault in me in this one but the one before this where I was overtaking from left was my fault and I agreed to that point.. there is no point in me lying here, is there?

as they always say.. you may be riding safe but the person coming from the opposite side might not be..

Seems like you and your black pearl are going through a bad phase. Glad to heat that you have received no damage, however I would still suggest a check up by the doctor.

      1. Change the Helmet ASAP like Divya suggested, doesn't matter if it "looks" fine. An impact of this sort calls for replacement.

      2. Changing the parts yourself is dedication and a lot of fun but when the bike goes through this kind of stress its best left for the professionals to fix it as something could skip your eye and prove fatal later ( i say this out of experience )

      3. Not riding your bike for a while won't help solve the problem, while I had a crash about a year back I stopped riding for seven months but realised no good comes from that. Take some time off to figure out what could have been done to prevent this, and start following that. Our roads are filled with idiots so the only way to be safe is by changing the way we ride

P.S: get a mesh jacket if weather is acting spoil sport.

LoL thats the first time I am hearing that... I guess the only way to do that is self control concentrate your chi

Unfortunately the art of safe riding has no advice with regards to this

+1 to this. I shifted to a mesh jacket just so that I don't use the weather as an excuse. The only other time I don't wear my Jacket now is when I have to wash it but even for this I got some plans soon

Though I never tried this, but this should work - Let assume girls are good at directions, so why not halt the bike and ask them for directions. Let us all know your feedback, but do not quote me when you ask them for directions.

On a serious, I too am going through a very rough phase. On a trip to Karnala bird sanctuary last week, me and my wife were accosted by a gang of hardcore criminals. They tried to kill us and rob us, but my brain really worked and I could get me and my wife out of the mess without a scratch. We did have to part with all our belongings, but manage to come back alive. This will come out in the news in a day or two. This is a very high profile case as this gang is involved in murders and robberies in a series at about the same spot.

                    My advice to all:

Avoid going on solo trips. If so, carry as less as possible. Inform your coordinates to family, frinds, and office. Keep a secondary mobile phone hidden somewhere and switched off. Trust your instinct when it says danger. Remember, your girlfriend or wife's integrity is worth more than your life. I'll keep posted when the case gets resolved, and that should happen within days. The entire police force is working on it. Keep safe.

As usual nothing happened to me thanks to the safety gears i am used to wearing.. gloves and helmet.. had a hard hit on the left side of my head and thanks to the helmet i didnt get any impact (touchwood).. didnt click any pic of my Black Pearl as i was completely out of mood..

As far as i noticed.. the headlight assembly, fairing assembly, left foot feg, left handle bar weight, front fender, fork bend (maybe alloy wheel as well), bent gear lever, the front number plate bent and it fell off the bike as the fairing broke off.. left indicator..

No fault on my side.. this rickshaw guy just came out of nowhere.. that too in the wrong way trying to cross the road..

Damn it.. i am taking leave tomo to check the availability of spare parts and get them.. planning to fix my Black Pearl myself and then take it for the fork bend/alloy bend..

Not gonna touch her this month till i get prayers done by mom to remove whatever the evil is haunting me and my Black Pearl..
I really feel sry for your series of mishaps bro !! Its better you analyse and find solutions behind this, like you did in tat previous accident rather than believing in superstition, i would suggest some simple steps like... Carefull and slow riding on unknown Roads since we do not know from wer an idiot would burst out of a turn.. And also honking at necessary situations and turns even if the roads seem empty in our vision.. Take care

I do understand that.. I am always careful.. not sure what happened yesterday.. I applied full brakes.. but that bloody was too close

Regarding honking.. its not feasible.. if that is the case, we can't take our hands off of the horns.. and unknown roads isnt the only place this happens buddy.. the problem is, the careless driving/riding/crossing the roads/ coming in wrong way.. people think the other person will apply brakes and stop but those bloody people don't know about brake failures.. what if the brakes fail at the last moment of applying brakes ? People don't think.. coming in wrong way as if they are the owners of the road..

i would have punched the guy on his face if he wasn't an old guy.. but again.. what would have I gained doing that? no matter how careful we are, the person coming ahead or behind you is going to be an idiot.. we don't have control of what is gonna happen.. Sad to know abt the mishap. Glad dat ur alryt.
Always be xtra careful in narrow bylanes. I don't think such accidents can happen in wide main roads. & the horns. very imp. after the collision wid a bus, nowadays I'm xtra carefulll on the horn.
Age is not a barrier man. U shud've at least taught the bastard some lesson. What abt the damage on hid auto.
Also, one thing I found useful was to warn other guys while riding. Like telling them to give side, etc etc, esp. @ autos, rickshaws, trucks & buses
Also, its alright to be a little superstitious. I didn't hv prayers for my bike in the 1st 2 weeks. After the incidents, called a priest & had his blessings all over the bike. Not a single incident till now since then.
Lastly, on what tires are u travelling? Do check the treads on them & replace if necessary. & check ur brakes as well.

                                Hello All,

From last few days i observed that initial pickup of my ZMR has been dropped a lot. Even to reach speed of 60 I can feel the drastic drop of the pickup. Also I feet the change in pickup when i ride it with pillion. Just wanted to know if its time to change the clutch plate??? I'm not sure about the total count of the kilometers as i brought it in 2nd hand

Also I feel lots of vibration above 80km/h speed...is this normal for all ZMR's or I have to do something for this.

                                Thanks in adavance
