Earlier batches of Michelins were too good. Now they're made by TVS and quality has dropped real low. Avoid Michelins.
Do browse the Karizma R thread too. 10-15 pages back in the ZMA thread @AK3D has made a few things clear.

Thanks for the quick reply. I checked out the thread you pointed to. AK3D is using Ceat Zooms on his ZMA & has good reviews about it. Unfortunately, looks like Zoom range in not available in tubeless variant for 18 inches.

So, since the new Michelins suck, I am left with the stock Zappers as my only option?

Wait for sometime. I hope new ZMR still has 18 inch rims. It has a 110 mm tire though I feel it maybe 120 too.

Got two needle bearings inserted into the swing arm so that bush doesn't have much room to play inside...pushed the old one with new one in lathe..
@ravi@17bhp this can be tried on ur ZMA as well I suppose...

Yeah, if the new ZMR has 18 inchers with a wider tyre, it should be a somewhat better option.

But, I need to change my tyres in the next 2 days. The tyres have seen around 25k & the tread is worn out significantly & the bike is losing its line on corners & under braking.

I will be making a trip on a highway/ghat road this weekend. So, unless there is a tubed option which is significantly better, should I just go for the stock Zappers?

Thanks for the mention. People are still advocating street like anything. Even the pilot sporty isn't too good according to The Monk here http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/universa...ml#post1007518 .
Only reason to buy Michelin would be if they manufactured it themselves, or for now, their imports.
As a company, they never bothered to respond to my emails and queries, therefore they aren't too high on my to-purchase list. Ceat responded immediately, and at a senior level, the regional manager personally helped me procure what I needed, and had his staff guide me as to their options etc. No wonder I'd choose them over Michelin.

Zapper Q 110/90-18 comes in tubeless variant as well..why not try that.. (check the beeding, one with no cross lines fits as TL)

I'm using it..

Happy b'day divya sharan...

I have a doubt! Zapper Q doesn't come as TL from factory AFAIK. It can be fit as one, but its basically a TT tire. Right?

Yes, TL is not official yet for 18 inch but TT itself comes in two varieties...you just have to pick the right tyre.. (read beeding)

Same goes with Michelin... Sirac, M45, Sirac street...all of them are TT but fits as TL

Other options are, Zapper Vyde 100/90-18 TL and Zapper C 120/80-18 TL...from factory..
