you can use following oils
1). Shell vsx 4t 10w40 semi synthetic engine oil as pic posted by Mzee Maverik on last post. I am using Shell Advance Ultra 10w40 Fully synthetic, gears are lot lot smooth then previous, has rode just 1000km with the oil, lets see how long it goes.
2). Motul is also a good engine oil
I am using Shell Advance Ultra 10w40 FS oil, lot of improvement in gear shifting, more smooth and easy to find the neutral in first attemptOriginally posted by Mzee_Maverik View Postthose who are using shell vsx 4t 10w40 semi synthetic engine oil kindly comment on the life of this engine oil in ZMR's engine.
, Shell oils are good
yeah you can use i think Satyajit (Kolkatta) is using the same engine oil for his White Angel, you can ask for the review. When we had (with Satyajit) chat last time he told oil is performing really good.Originally posted by daggerZMR View Postcan we use motul 20w40 engine oil for ZMR....
Why you dont get Daytona thenOriginally posted by daggerZMR View PostI WANT DAYTONA RACING KIT FOR ZMR....

The battery seems to be fine. Is there some way I can know if its gone wrong? It starts at one go and even the lights work fine w/o any dimming.Originally posted by Above_All View PostFirst of all check the battery . It would great to have its serviceing done before riding .
BTW why the big 6 month brake ?
I should have read this before. I fillied up the tank to the brim. The old fuel which was mearge but nevertheless there is all mixed up with the new one. Is it going to be a big problem? I just hope not.Originally posted by psr View PostFirst and most important thing to do is, If you have old petrol in Tank, Drain it ASAP and fill 500 ml and slosh it around for 5 minutes, by holding front brake and try to move it forward and back..then drain this petrol also and fill with fresh petrol....Petrol after 20 -30 days start deteriorating and forms a Varnish like coating...this can spoil your injector ,valves and piston rings.
Change your engine oil also with a JASO MA2 oil
Both the works best done with SVC,....but make sure you get it done...
The Bike is doing well and I will be giving it for servicing soon. I will get the insurance done soon.

In my case it is the Car that is parked and the bike the regular runner.....
I travel mostly during peak hours ..and in my city NOW, the Lancer feels as big as a dump truck, and the scratches I got on one year in the past is now bestowed in a single day......When Was The Last Time,You Did Something For The First Time.

, Shell oils are good
previously i was using gulf pride 4T plus which was good for 1500-2000kms. can i expect 3-4k kms on this oil???speed thrills but kills if you dont have skills

I fill around 10 liter & use it approximately 20 to 30 days . So is it also gonna create problem ? As i just completed my graduation , so no college & bike is parked mostly.Originally posted by psr View PostFirst and most important thing to do is, If you have old petrol in Tank, Drain it ASAP and fill 500 ml and slosh it around for 5 minutes, by holding front brake and try to move it forward and back..then drain this petrol also and fill with fresh petrol....Petrol after 20 -30 days start deteriorating and forms a Varnish like coating...this can spoil your injector ,valves and piston rings.

I seen some pumps which needs tanker in 1 month so is there fuel is also not good due to stored for around a month ?
Check the voltage reading on a digital multimeter . Also there is a battery meter available in HH SVC which can even check all 6 cells & show their status on display with blinking lights .Originally posted by Sarath_ View PostThe battery seems to be fine. If any 1 sensor is covered then all should be. But warrenty is mostly depends on SVC .Originally posted by 111diablo111 View Postdo all sensors in ZMR are covered under warranty?Last edited by Above_All; 08-28-2011, 11:44 PM.

Any particular reason why you want to switch from normal HH oil?Originally posted by siddharth_ZMR View PostCompleted 7000 kms. time for servicing. please suggest a good semi-synthetic oil.
I have clocked over 26000+ kms on ZMR with normal HH oil and also rode my bike in all types of terrain including Ladakh.
Anyone with Mods on ZMR...Looking for more pics on this thread
Anyone has added tanpad on their bike.
Here's mine
