That's great. Then my mechanic will be able to do it. Aim here is to reduce the weight of the bike, I think since I don't ride with pillion I don't need the saree guard. 223 cc bike with a kerb weight of 159 kgs is a lot. Pick up should increase fractionally by removal of sari guard supplimented by good looks.

Waiting for pics from someone who has removed Sari guard.

As i have some fuel adulteration issues with engine , so exactly the engine performance i cant predict after a oil change.

yeah i recently come to known about the Honda 10w30 FS which is used for CBR 250, it is good if you get a FS oil in same grade as it is recommended. you can try that. i will definitely try it once my drain period comes to end with Shell

                • How to avoid Fuel Adulteration

We can easily rely on a company-owned and operated petrol pump in your city. Also you can do a small quality check at all petrol pumps. It is called a filter-paper test. All petrol pumps keep a filter paper to check the fuel quality. Ask for the filter paper, put 2 drops of petrol on the filter paper, keep it for 2 minutes to let the petrol evaporate. It should leave no stain on the filter paper. If it leaves the stain on the paper, then it is a sign of fuel adulteration.

                      • Even I have a query about Motul semi synthetic engine oil, I have come across a couple of options 20W40 and 20W50. Is it true that 20W50 is ideal for ZMR or even 20W40 would be good enough? Would appreciate inputs about which one to opt for.

I am also going ahead with the rear tire change to Michelin M45 but I've read some users mentioning about a linkage rod which is required to be bent in order to accommodate the tire. Is it true? Also will it fit tubeless or with tube?

WD40 cost me 97 rupees . Same is printed on it.

How much km your bike completed ? & why you want to change oil to higher grade ? any issue with recommanded one ?

About M45 , as posted by a lot more user here they are hard to find , stopped importing to india by michelin . And no need to bent any rod or remove chain guard if you gonna use the stock size tire , but if oversize then it might need i am not sure.

What are saying??? Is it really that heavy? Well there are Pros and cons of removing chain cover. On one hand you are getting weight reduction but on the other side you are exposing your chain to all dust, slush. Chain cover is essential in long run though it looks a little less stylish and carries some weight.

                            I have Pirelli SD 110/90 18'

It's bliss trust me!!! I have experienced with M45 which was superb and then Pirelli SD outclasses every other tyre present out there for us. Terrific grip be it wet, dry, offroad and corner. It's a boon.

Yes, i know there are pros/cons of open chain...i have to visit my SVC for lubricate of chain in week or 2nd week...also planning to buy a chain spray i.e. motul or other...otherwise life become less...

ZMR chain cover is heavy, i too did not know about it, when i replace it with open cover and carrying it back to home then i realized its heavy and on weight found approx. 2.5 KG

55/60W wont work on passion and put a drop of engine oil in the key hole,it will solve the problem.
