Problem was occurred in Dec. 2010, my ZMR was very harsh in riding. On after several visit to SVC finally they change parts like Cylinder, Piston, Chain Cam, Crank Shaft under warranty in Feb. 2011. Problem occurred due to fuel adulteration.

However, after all these parts change i feel lot better in riding but some where in idle mode i feel engine is making a little sound and refinement that was during i buy a ZMR was not there.

Then i make a complaint to HM too; meet there engineers personally but all in vain...

Then i visit another SVC, they found a problem in Gear part, they changed it (under warranty) and the refinement was now increased as well as acceleration too ....but sometimes i feel to have a lesser refinement/smoothness in engine sound too. I don't know why, but there is some problem which i thing i an unable to communicate them properly or they are not able to find it...

So, he sent me a new bulb which I fitted last week. It is 4300K and truly amazing!!! I can see everything on the road clearly even under the street lights. First time in my life I am satisfied with my bike's headlight as I could manage 125kms speed with road clearly visible.
Could you post the pics of hid's illumination of road on both the beams?
if possible please take pics under street light so that we could get to know how well it performs..

Just out of curiousity, where you present in Biker of the year G2G as I saw one black ZMR from Pune group. Since, our ZMR's are hardly visible in G2G's it caught my attention

wow.... Looks super cool without the sari guard. Can't wait to get rid of it from my bike. Good to see you still visiting this thread considering now you ride your dream bike Hornet. I hope you are working on the few things we discussed last time

Congrats, It's usually after 20K kms the problem starts with FI engines if you don't maintain it well.

Between - Who has done the max. kms on ZMR here? Possibly they can share some light on how the bike is performing. I have done 26K kms. Any one else here?

I think Ananth from Chennai must have done the maximum KMS he had posted a few days ago about the idea to sell his ZMR, there he mentioned the no. kms done, and also he has a lots and lots of touring experience on ZMR he can give the best opinion AFAIK.

Ya.. i was there for that G2G and i am the only (uptil now in my knowledge) the only Black ZMR in Pune group.....
Yes ZMR is difficult to spot amongst the common bikes like Ninja's

                        • Zmr fi engine failure?

hi all, as i almost decided to go for the new karizma zmr.. But the matter is while am asking one of the herohonda service man, he told that ZMR FI technology is failure one and it will give lot of engine problems and engine also not having good design likely.. Now i become very confused whether i can go for zmr? After hearing this from a authorised service man my mind got very disturbed..pl let me know is this true?

Hope ur reply will be best..

From what I had heard the ZMR runs lean to return more than 40 Kms per liter with sane riding...this leads to engine heating and problem in the long run.. if the battery goes bad in ZMR the fuel pump will not work and starting with a bad battery may not be possible, while a ZMA-R will start with even a dead battery.
Riding in strong winds on highway will throw the ZMR sideways due to full fairing, and ZMA-R will handle better.
Just my thought ..Actual users can give more Factual info..

No bike is fully ideal with no problem's . Intially you have heating problem in ZMR but it will go after 3000/4000 kms. From which asc you got that info ? No FI problem i am facing not in engine. I am very happy with my ZMR.
Look is really killer . Full body cowl might get some problem if there are strong winds . but it is case in all fully faired bike.
Check out this thread from first page , You will get better info.

The ZMR FI technology is a globally tried and tested technology of Honda (Seniors please correct me if i am wrong, read this somewhere).
I have clocked 7000+ kms in 3 months and rode the bike at +100 kmph for kms and found no trouble whatsoever...
There are no engine problems unless adulterated fuel is supplied to it.... FI engine starts coughing... This issue is for every FI bike.
Just ask the Service man that why Hunk is also available with FI if ZMR engine is a failure? or is the FI of Hunk entirely different from ZMR?

Hope ur reply will be best..

Failed to comprehend this statement. As far as i know engine heating is experienced in all fairing bikes because the hot air moves upwards through the fairing and heats the crouch area and thighs. Engine heating is felt in all fairing bikes till 1K to 2K kms.. afterthat no issues...

if the battery goes bad in ZMR the fuel pump will not work and starting with a bad battery may not be possible, while a ZMA-R will start with even a dead battery.

As regards fairing yes it effects but its all in mind how much it effects your riding (as told by Vishwas sir)... i dont think about it now and i ride better in cross-winds now..

I am not aware of ZMA-R battery but ZMR battery is strong enough and at least in this forum no one has issues of dead battery. Others please update on this.

I personally think FI engine has made ZMR better as regards mileage, pick-up at lower rpm, touring.

I may be wrong and would love to be corrected by fellow riders.
